Congratulations James!! I am excited to see what you do with the Z Grill!! Price is a huge factor for 70% of the first time pellet grill buyers!!! See you soon brother!
What I currently do with my other pellet smoker is scoop the ashes out with my hand and dump them in grill and then vacuum it out. I'm guessing I can do the same with this one before pulling out the ash tray and dumping. That's the plan anyways. I'll definitely give an update to folks if I start running into issues. Thanks for stopping by.
Can't wait to see you comment about the temps it has in different areas.. How low the temps go for maybe doing jerky. How it holds temps for your settings. How much pellets per hour.. Hope you get some of the all hardwood no filler lumber jack or similar good quality pellets. Enjoy the burn in process 👍
Thanks for stopping by Kevin. I've actually used it a couple of time already and so far it's help the temp pretty consistantly. When I first burned it in the temps did fluctuate quite a bit, but when I actually had food in it, it worked fine. I'm definitely going to keep playing with it, and if I run into issues I'll make sure folks know.
This MARINE is not a Dumb-Ass : I set the dial at 225F but my temperature reads 14F / thus the grill is running at 475 F + and inside the pellet box at 350F. I keep my grill tight and clean. By the way, i have all the equipment to test the temperture reading. FYI: I HAVE THE 700E MODEL
Just bought this and it will be my 1st wood pellet grill. It will be here just in time for the super bowl!! Planning on doing a brisket and some ribs! What kind of wood pellets do u recommend for brisket and ribs and also what seasonings would u recommend? Thx! Great review!!
I would use Post Oak and Pecan pellets. Those are my favorite flavors. As far as what seasonings to use, it really depends on what flavor profile you like. For brisket I prefer something that's heavier with salt and pepper. For ribs, I prefer something sweet. Any rub would work really.
@@CentralTexasGrilling Great! I’m thinking of getting this pellet grill. Also, do you know what the difference between this one and the 1000E model(silver in color)?
It looks like there is no separation between the ash removal tray and the bottom storage area. How much ash gets into the bottom storage area in between cleanings and during the cleaning/removal of the ash tray?
That is a horrible design on that smoker and I used to be a distributor for Z grill...you lose tons of heat and smoke because of the gaps on the sides of the lid and you also lose tons of smoke and heat because of the removable Ash pan that is not sealed off! Customer service is horrible because there is a huge language barrier!
I guess that’s been your experience, but mine really has been the opposite that. Mine runs just fine and holds a consistent temp. No issues whatsoever🤷🏻♂️

See you soon!
I just bought mine I never got a discount
Great looking grill. Can’t wait to see you cook on it and give us your review.
Great grill enjoy and I look forward to see you cooking in it
God bless you and your family
I love my rec tec pellet smoker, but these z grills look nice! GREAT video!
Rec Tec makes some nice grills for sure, thanks for stopping by.
Very cool introduction to the z grills
Great video James......Unfortunately you still may have to vacuum out the little firebox area after long cooks. Check that out and let us know.

That looks like it would take at least a case of beer to put together James.
That's actually why it took me so long lol. I had to stop from time to time and "hydrate" with some Tito's.
Can't wait to assemble mine and give it a try! I got it at a very...VERY good Pr$ce!!
Hope you enjoy yours cause I sure do love mine.

I love your videos, but when I saw made in China, it just will not last, but would like to see u cook on it, keep up the great videos!!
Another buddy of mine has had his for a couple of years so we'll see. Besides, what isn't made in China these days lol
@@CentralTexasGrilling My Yoder
@@sherri082772 I think you missed my point, but yes, your Yoder.
Interesting. I'm not familiar with them but has a nice look to it. Good demo.
Thanks for watching!
Great review 👊
Thank you! Cheers!
Are you still happy with this grill? I’m looking at getting the same! Thanks in advance
I am. It's the one grill I use the most actually.
Nice purchase but how are you going to get the ashes out of the burn pot.
I can scoop them out with my hand into the tray. That's what I currently do with my other pellet smoker.
That is awesome, try it out give a good review. Never heard of it but look gr8t. Stay safe & take care of you all. Thanks for sharing eh :))
Thanks, you too!
Your welcome James, thank you@@CentralTexasGrilling
How high can the temperature get? I see 375 and then “high”. What reading do you get on “high”?
I believe it's 450 degrees, but I'll double check that.

@@Mister_Y I believe it's just the color that's different.

Great point! I haven't cleaned it out yet but I will make sure to check it out and let folks know if it's an issue.
