I just setup my Z Grill but the instructions don’t say anything about actually using it, only the setup and burn in. Do you only use the smoke setting to ignite the pellets, then do you switch to the desired temperature? Does it continue to smoke? I contacted Z Grill and they said they’d email me the instructions but what they sent was the same manual I already had. I can’t believe there weren’t any instructions on actually using the unit. Thanks

Once you go through the startup procedure you put it at the temp you desire. You way not see a lot of smoke but that’s just the way pellet grills are. Check out my brisket video and it should help. You can use the smoke feature but not for an entire cook.

You can only buy older models on this deal. I think they are trying to get rid of the older stuff. The grills you chose from on this deal are 2 to 4 years old. No wifi monitoring. I was going to do it until I realized none of them connected to a phone via wifi.

Does the ninja wood fire provide a similar degree of smoke flavor?

My last woodfire ribs were really good. I never thought they lacked smoke flavor but these seemed like the best ribs I have personally cooked. I think that might be from getting my technique down to how I like it though. I think I need to do a battle!!!

I am very impressed with it after the first cook for sure. I think I need to throw a brisket at it!

@@DadGotThis Can burgers get a sear on that grill, though?

@@rbiv5 To sear, you can remove the grease drain pan and heat baffle, and use the sear grate.
