I had my visit to the demo room today & was impressed enough to go home with some new speakers, if you're interested in the Perls I'd recommend paying Lee a visit 👍
Just to Pay you a High Compliment on how Personal, Professional and Inviting you Business is "Comes Across 100% Natural" I for one Totally Appreciate this Very Much Indeed. Thank you for sharing your Business with us all. Kindest Regards, From Mark.
I'm the lucky owner of "The Dominos Den" (21:25) and also lucky to have found Yorkshire AV! Lee and his team were brilliant at all times and I'm blown away by how the room looks and sounds now particularly with the Perlistens. Still smiling!
For the R series - I think it’s a perfect match. In fact my S series sound fantastic on there too. It’s a balance right of cost vs performance / experience. I think it’s spot on :)
If you had to do the surrounds again, would you choose the R4S or R4B's over the inwalls for the left the right surrounds? I get the part of the speakers going into the wall but do you see any sound differences between the inwall vs the box versions.
A great question. No - I wouldn’t have chosen the R4s or the R4b. The surround speakers would need mounting higher than I would want and would eat into my walk space around the seating. Same applies to the bookshelf speakers. If in-wall wasn’t an option - then on-wall R4s would be the preference over the bookshelves due to the tidier footprint. From a purely performance point of view, the in-walls are working perfectly. Lots of great fun being has in the cinema room and a convenient, well packaged solution.
price are very close - your opinion - what is better - theater 7.2.4 1 - in-wall front R5I-LR, center R5I-c, sur 4 PERLISTEN R4I and dolby 4 R4s or 2 - R5C CENTRE, R5M front, 4 R4B BOOKSHELF sur and 4 dolby R4s?
If you have a baffle wall that’s high performing (ie is managing reflections and absorption correctly) then I’d go with the in-wall R5i-LR as I have done here. If you cannot build the structure to standards, then go freestanding :)
The reason I prefer the R4B over the inwalls is because if you every choose to upgrade say to the S series you can always move the bookshelves separately and use them as stereo speakers. Things happen and in our world we do upgrade and its best to have that option. I think the bookshelves may hold more value than the in walls.

Can't find enough content on Perlisten. Thanks for making this!
Thank you! Hope it was useful :)
I just had the Perlisten D215S installed. Very very nice!
Do you think the Primare is the best amp for Perlisten speakers?
