As a retired Snap On dealer… you run into all types of people. People with honesty , and integrity, and people who are dishonest and not truthful . I’m so happy for you , that Jose came back to pay you . There is a man with conviction, and honesty . There are still people like him left in this world. And you are right Val, to never judge a book by its cover!

If you understood how good you looked, you’d get why you’d be a hard one to forget.

Patience is a virtue in this business for sure! Sometimes it’s hard, but patience and understanding go a long way!

Evel Knievel used to say in his documentary videos "when you give your word to someone you're going to do something you got to do it".

One of the neatest man i know had tats on his face.
When i asked him about them he told me when he was homeless, thugs would come for him. When he put the tats on his face it scared them off.
It was a way of protection. Now he keeps them as a way of remembering not to make those decisions again and end up homeless.

My first shop we had two tool trucks. Snap on and Mac. It was 2001. Went to Mac because he was cheaper. Ordered a AC gage set. After 2 weeks I asked where it was. Still on order. 3-4 weeks later. Still on order. The old timers refused to let me use their AC gage. Finally my shop manager asks what’s going on. The Mac guy tells us he cannot afford to pay for his inventory. He was kicked off the property right away. I went to Snap on. I would charge tools for 2 years. Had 1k credit account. My credit was crap. The snap on guy co-signed my loan. Saved my ass. I paid off 30k in 3 years. I will never forget what he did for me.

Do you not have insurance for people that owe thousands and thousands and then just go missing and never pay that you claim from if so had you not claimed off your insurance and then took payment off the customer you claimed for,
Not being funny I'm just curious how you get reimbursed or do you take it as loss.
