The Wings solo songs were probably the first chance all seven of the boys had to be really involved in the song making process (it was mostly the rap line contributing on previous albums). a singer and a dancer here, can tell you Lie is a reaally hard one, while the choreography involves a lot of popping and locking in terms of dancing style, even moments with intense "dime-stops" (the harshest stops mid movement to create optical illusions) and great precision to achieve body lines (in short, it requires specific muscles to be engaged around your core so it will take most of your breath as you need to aggressively exhale to create those pops and all sorts of illusions) therefore making a lot of the falsetto, airy vocals and higher octave notes of the song more difficult to achieve while dancing, i'm actually quite impressed about the fact that he was able to sing at all lmao I could never!! this takes insane hours of practice 😳
The choreography in Jimin's Lie is really hard and he's doing his best .Even without singing, it's really hard to breathe let alone sing. You can try to do it yourself you will find out. So I don't think it's reasonable to sing the whole song when you still have many and many songs to perform in one concert.
@@INF1NIT3SIN I also want to add when the members record their solo songs only they sing all the parts so they put those songs together you know? Stigma Live Performance Kim Taehyung ( V) killing it. He has most widest vocal range and he used it in stigma and killed it. V's stigma and singularity live performance it's getting goosebumps always. He has most unique voice. Deep, raspy and soulful.
taehyung's voice in stigma really is so soulful. he said that in his stigma performances, he focused more on his singing but you can't deny how charismatic he is in every little move of him. his voice is baritone and those high notes are really impressive and now, he improved much more.
In kpop it is very common to use backing tracks as a way to give them a break while doing choreo. BTS just so happens to be one of the groups who NEVER lip syncs, so they use their backing tracks sparingly.
THERES THE REACTION WE WERE WAITING FOR ON STIGMA!!!!!!! but yeah, jimin normally has a backtrack because his dances are very hard and take a lot of breath. the dance line in general normally does. jk is the most stable out of everyone in the whole group
You hit the nail on the head with why there's a backtrack, just to provide consistency while he's dancing because lord knows most of us couldn't even do the dance, let alone sing a single live vocal at the same time haha. I will also mention that this is from 2017, and the whole band has improved so much in just the three years since. Not saying he wasn't amazing here, he is! I'd be interested to see what the Jimin of 2020 could do with this performance with all he's learned, experienced, improved, and trained in those three years.
Oh Jimin now performing Lie? Oh that would be amazing to experience and witness. I have no doubt it’d be just as hard but yes they’ve improved and learned more about themselves as humans and artists, what works and what doesn’t. But that would be something I’d love to see tbh. I’d like to see them all perform their solo from wings album!
Jungkook is famous for singing live and dancing with very hard choreography at the same time. In a video, Jhope said he was shocked when he first saw the choreography for the song.he is a fantastic vocalist and dancer. And yes, Jungkook is a fan of Michael Jackson. He and Jimin danced Michael Jackson with song Black & White, which was very beautiful. I hope you see it.❤😇
To be clear, they pretty much always have a backing track during live performances. Usually it’s only for specific parts where they raise the volume of the backing track to give the members breathing time or to make up for when they are dancing. Even Tae had a backing track to allow him preparation time for those high notes, which require precise technique.
I definitely love wings era n the live performances /chefs kiss/, taehyung really doing a amazing job with his vocal im so proud😭 jungkook performance is one of top fav fo me i mean he dance so hard especially with that foot work but still able to sing most of his lyrics😌👏(watchin the behind performance of this concert makes me sad tho😔 they work so hard i-😢) Edit: they definitely improve to another level now the vocal the dance the overall performance is just awesome😤😍 cant wait fo you to finish this era n get to the recent ones😆
Taehyung has incredible vocal potential, actually. It can go from a low note to an incredibly high note in a matter of a second. He's my favorite vocalist in BTS
Now since you finally realized Tae's crazy high note, I can sleep peacefully lol. Btw I really love your reactions, thank you for your effort to dive deeply into the theories. Side note: BigHit doesn't give Tae so many chances to show his vocal range (I'd love to hear his high notes often tho), the reason is as you can guess he is the only baritone vocalist, so Jimin and JK are the ones who generally do it. They are amazing as well. Especially since Jimin's voice is already high, he can do it so effortlessly. Also Jin can do it too, (he is my favourite with Tae, it's because he didn't have any singing experience in the past, so I respect him so much for that.) And for Tae, as I already said BigHit gives him parts which requires deep and soothing voice. So he CAN hit high notes, just he doesn't do often. The fact that he can hit these notes higher than my grades with this low voice really impresses me every single time. Also his high notes sound vocally so rich to me. So I would love to hear more, but ofc Bighit's decisions are not illogical for giving him these parts.
BTS has an amazing group of dancers for their performances. It's usually the same main group of guys. They have a great relationship with them and they put on amazing performances. I am so happy that you watched these live performances, it really showcases some of their individual talents. Most of the time there is going to be a backtrack to their songs, either due to the heavy choreo and/or because they also sing the back vocals to the songs as well.
BTS call the performers who dance with them 'Dancers', never backups. It's just another reason they are so respected in their industry... They respect everyone they work with. When they do their solo numbers no other BTS member performs with them... They always use a backtrack on concert tours and sometimes on stage shows. It is because of the dance moves and sometimes because of audience interactions. Stay safe, Blessings.
Jungkook is master of foot work jhope said it's the hardest choreography he sang with such stable voice too he is the king of stage presence he was just 19 💜 I like lie so much it's such a good song and the performance is breathtaking the choreography is so hard jimin did great job 💜 Stigma is not really my style but I still don't hate it and v worked hard on the vocal here 💜
I think there's the intense choreo aspect, but they also do all their own harmonies in their song so I think that's another big reason for the backing track. They did do a tour with a live band though and it was awesome. I hope they do it more often because they sounded great and it really boosted an already amazing atmosphere.
Glad you enjoyed their Performances. And yes you were Right with the backtrack. As others said their coreography sometimes makes it hard for them to sing and as we all know they are perfectionists. But I want to Point out one Thing: BTS never lipsyncs. A lot of People accused them of lipsyncing and I am gonna tell you now: They are so bad at lipsyncing :D And Yoongi stopped at an Award Show his verse to proof that they are singing live so yeah :D And your reaction to Taehyungs High Note was everything! :D
Jungkook is known for having the best stamina which is like he is the most stable while dancing. I always get emotional when i see jk performing this song cuz they had a docu-series called burn the stage back in 2017 and he was extremely exhausted after this performance and pushed himself so hard... Also you are right that jimin used backing track because of the hard choreo. He usually has the most difficul choreos for his solo songs and the fact that he has so many high notes in his songs doesn't help that either. He has really improved "stamina" wise though And tae...that high note kills me everytime... I'm glad he didn't have a choreo for that song so that we were blessed with this high note lol Also kinda curious, will you upload the run reactions on youtube later or will they be only for patreon?
Gotta appreciate how kpop idols work their ass off to entertain and to gain your admiration huh? Gotta do what the pro background dancers do while singing and more, years ahead of everyone else!
Jimin not only a singer,, but he is a performer,, he is not only sit or stan still and sing,, NO ONE can sing that part with that choreo,, even christina aguilera have backing vocal to support her when she have to dance in her performer,,
FYI: Jungkook was 17/18 when he performed begin. He performed begin after performing 5 songs since his solo song performance was the first solo performance during the concert. It is still to this day considered one of the hardest performance ranked by BTS themselves. Due to flashy and fast leg works and hard choreography , the boy still managed to sing it live. This song and live performance is the standard to measure how hard BTS’ performances are 💜
The backing track is there because of the choreography and because it's a concert where they are dancing and singing for hours continuously. The moments he rests are key moments, so you can see the backing track as a tool to help him give the best performance he can while dancing and singing. Also, sometimes songs have a members harmonizing with their own voice, obviously they can't do that on performances, so the backing track helps with those moments too. In group songs at concerts, when the choreo is a tiring one, the members sometimes leave a word or two out to catch their breaths (when there's no backing track, you just hear ARMY singing it but usually they practice so much for a concert that they often know when they should have a backing track so there won't be just silence). There's some cases they can't foresee though, and that's when they are sick. Also, in some songs, it becomes kind of a game between ARMY and BTS at concerts. They don't sing a part and let ARMY sing it instead, and you can tell they deliberately chose to let it be all silent because there's not backing track for it.
Lie Queen Of wings Album she have 100M stream in Spotify she’s the only side track with the title blood sweat and tears jimin thr lead vocalist did that 😍😍😍
It is to give Jimin a time to give some breathing room(after all Jimin is still human being.)because he is performing really intricate & hard choreography full times while singing. I know BTS does sing all the part live during their group performance, but you have to remember that because 7 of them are taking turn to sing & rap in those songs, so even though they are performing those hard choreography same time, each of them still has sometimes to breaths in between. Another reason is Jimin is originally a dancer & even though he is also famous & hugely loved by his beautiful unique vocal tones & crystal clear high notes, his biggest strength is his amazing beautiful dance & fans can’t get enough of his dance performances. So until now Jimin solo performances is focus on both, the full choreographed performances with those intricate, difficult & hard dance movements & his unique tones of beautifully expressive vocal. PS: I do noticed you are more into music & singing rather then their dance performances, but the choreography < lie> that Jimin is dancing is really difficult one (physically & emotionally). It is difficult to see from the video you have watched because of the dark stage lightings & other distractions. So may I please recommend for you to watch behind the scenes of MV < lie> Jimin’s dance performance video? Don’t need to react, if you don’t want, but please watch it. As it seems you do appreciate the song , You will see why BTS & their teams has advised Jimin to focus little more on dance performance. I promise you won’t regret seeing this. Because it has blown so many people’s mind how truly gifted dancer that our Jimin is. Here is the link! > I hope you would watch. Thanks again for your genuine reactions & hope you stay safe, healthy & happy!
I think Suga once said that kpop included singing, dancing, makeup, scenery, and all that stuff, so I believe that’s why in their performance they sing most parts of the song and some other not. They have to dance and it’s quite difficult dancing and singing at the same time through the hole song, obviously they all can sing so it’s just to make it easier or them
Jimin’s contemporary dancing to this song is so complex, so taxing, NO ONE - not even today, 3 years later - would be able to dance like that AND sing every note…particularly the high ones…though the highest note he DID sing! And by the way, this was just one of many of his Lie performances. His vocals are incredible, his vocal tone, his crystal clear high notes, everything! He’s been lauded one of the most unique, special voices on the planet by experts all over the globe! Haters like to make fun of him because he doesn’t belt like Jin or have the stereotypical R & B voice like JK…but that’s actually what most producers want today - something unique from everyone else! ALL of the members use backing tracks and always have…and yes, even JK!!
I think you missed something. V is coming out of the phone booth. The same one that RM was trying to get to. When the show the camera angle from the inside you can see the phone booth to the right of him just before he steps out.
They actually run on treadmills while singing to perfect their voice while breathing - so that they can have advanced choreography and sing live at the same time. But they of course have to have a back track as well - so they have a chance to catch their breath.
The reason why it has background music is because it is a concert of almost 2 hours or more, they also dance and sing, for that reason it cannot be all live, they need support on certain occasions where they can rest. But they decide how much background music they are going to have, they make those decisions. They also have a band that plays live on certain songs. A lot of kpop artists do lipsync unless they are ballad artists who don't dance, they can sing live 2 hours straight. I think that no artist can perform for 2 hours and more dancing and singing everything live. Jimin sang 85% of the song dancing, he rested a couple of minutes and continued singing the rest of the concert, we must give him credit for that.
Sometimes they add backing vocals to help it sound more “full” and sometimes it’s just because the dance moves are so difficult and they need a little extra help.
Crazy thing about jungkooks stage here is they had done like 4 songs already lol but he was the first solo to get on stage so the others had time to change and rest for a few before doing their solos where jungkook basically had none lol jungkooks stability physically and vocally is just crazy… it’s unmatched and he’s just getting better and better
Jungkooks breath control is insane. He himself has said Begin is extremely hard to perform, and its insane how he can sing so well (at only 19 in the video too) whilst dancing that hard. Not many idols in kpop can actually dance that well and sing that well live.
When it comes to the backing track they all have them, tho they where dialed up/more noticeable for Jimins performance. One of the reasones other than the choreo is to get a satisfactory quality of the sound for the audience there where there.
After your 1st set of solos (from their WINGS album 2016) definitely watch/listen to their 2nd sets of solos from their LOVE YOURSELF: ANSWER album 2018. In those performances they were tired af and out of breath because they had been performing for about and hour, and still, they NAILED IT 💜
a singer and a dancer here, can tell you Lie is a reaally hard one, while the choreography involves a lot of popping and locking in terms of dancing style, even moments with intense "dime-stops" (the harshest stops mid movement to create optical illusions) and great precision to achieve body lines (in short, it requires specific muscles to be engaged around your core so it will take most of your breath as you need to aggressively exhale to create those pops and all sorts of illusions) therefore making a lot of the falsetto, airy vocals and higher octave notes of the song more difficult to achieve while dancing, i'm actually quite impressed about the fact that he was able to sing at all lmao I could never!! this takes insane hours of practice 😳
V is the only kpop idol that can kill low notes at the same time reach high notes👌💜
The choreography in Jimin's Lie is really hard and he's doing his best .Even without singing, it's really hard to breathe let alone sing. You can try to do it yourself you will find out. So I don't think it's reasonable to sing the whole song when you still have many and many songs to perform in one concert.
it was just a moment to realize the humanity behind the performance...no offense meant
@@INF1NIT3SIN I also want to add when the members record their solo songs only they sing all the parts so they put those songs together you know? So he can't sing 2 or 3 different parts at the same time. Same for any member not just Jimin. You really should watch one of the documentary series, I am feeling a little upset at your comments about this lol only because I've seen each and every member of BTS and their staff almost killing themselves and hiding it while on stage. I feel a bit defensive and it isn't your fault you don't know lol.
@@marlypea omg there was nothing to be offended about 😳 he obviously acknowledges Jimin's talent and capabilities that's why he asked "why there was a backup track?" Because he knows that jimin CAN sing! He answered himself right away tho haha when he said "I think it's because of the dancing? It's really hard..." 🤷🏻♀️
@@mariaeva5319 OMG! I know that lol. I said it isn't his fault and I feel defensive and he should watch the documentary series. I didn't say I was offended...
@@marlypea my bad I'm so sorry 💜 I read "defensive" as "offensive" smh 🤦🏻♀️ it doesn't even make sense:')
Jimin's voice is as awesome as his high note🧡his dance is fascinating🧡the man is an excellent artist in every way,too handsome🐥💛
THERES THE REACTION WE WERE WAITING FOR ON STIGMA!!!!!!! but yeah, jimin normally has a backtrack because his dances are very hard and take a lot of breath. the dance line in general normally does. jk is the most stable out of everyone in the whole group
‘Nevermind’ is one of their songs, also Jimin has a tattoo of that word 😄 just thought I’d let you know💜
stigma is just a masterpiece
Kpop groups usually have back tracks cause some of the choreo is absolutely insane but they do still sing most parts
I hope you see it.❤😇
jungkook was only 19 here!
To be clear, they pretty much always have a backing track during live performances. Usually it’s only for specific parts where they raise the volume of the backing track to give the members breathing time or to make up for when they are dancing. Even Tae had a backing track to allow him preparation time for those high notes, which require precise technique.
jimin is an amazing artist !!
I definitely love wings era n the live performances /chefs kiss/, taehyung really doing a amazing job with his vocal im so proud😭
jungkook performance is one of top fav fo me i mean he dance so hard especially with that foot work but still able to sing most of his lyrics😌👏(watchin the behind performance of this concert makes me sad tho😔 they work so hard i-😢)
Edit: they definitely improve to another level now the vocal the dance the overall performance is just awesome😤😍 cant wait fo you to finish this era n get to the recent ones😆
Our Kookie monster was just pulling out of puberty when "Begin" was released btw LOL
jhope said that begin choreography is the hardest
Jungkook is master of foot work jhope said it's the hardest choreography he sang with such stable voice too he is the king of stage presence he was just 19 💜
I like lie so much it's such a good song and the performance is breathtaking the choreography is so hard jimin did great job 💜
Stigma is not really my style but I still don't hate it and v worked hard on the vocal here 💜
I think there's the intense choreo aspect, but they also do all their own harmonies in their song so I think that's another big reason for the backing track.
They did do a tour with a live band though and it was awesome. I hope they do it more often because they sounded great and it really boosted an already amazing atmosphere.
Loved your reaction to all the lives. Glad that you enjoyed them. Wait to you see their live performances further down the line. They're amazing!!
i know...never said they did....we all watched that little clip in one of my previous vids
@@INF1NIT3SIN Yeah I know you don't think that :) I generally just wanted to Mention it :)
He has really improved "stamina" wise though
And tae...that high note kills me everytime... I'm glad he didn't have a choreo for that song so that we were blessed with this high note lol
Also kinda curious, will you upload the run reactions on youtube later or will they be only for patreon?
Gotta appreciate how kpop idols work their ass off to entertain and to gain your admiration huh? Gotta do what the pro background dancers do while singing and more, years ahead of everyone else!
jungkook begin performance was 99 % live .he is main vocalist for a reason .
You can watch all 4 in one video, if you want. We will watch long videos. (I love, cause i'm doing nothing. 😂)
Well...there's an additive to the last segment...you'll see
Jimin not only a singer,, but he is a performer,, he is not only sit or stan still and sing,, NO ONE can sing that part with that choreo,, even christina aguilera have backing vocal to support her when she have to dance in her performer,,
Maybe you never sing with simple dancing your self,, lol
for baritone voice high note is hard
Lie is crazy including vocals choreo visuals and lyrics it is all there Jimin has gotten his jams back😂
FYI: Jungkook was 17/18 when he performed begin. He performed begin after performing 5 songs since his solo song performance was the first solo performance during the concert. It is still to this day considered one of the hardest performance ranked by BTS themselves.
Due to flashy and fast leg works and hard choreography , the boy still managed to sing it live.
This song and live performance is the standard to measure how hard BTS’ performances are 💜
wait react to “SINGULARITY”... thanks #MASTERPIECEKIMTAEHYUNG/V BTS👍🤴💜
Lie Queen Of wings Album she have 100M stream in Spotify she’s the only side track with the title blood sweat and tears jimin thr lead vocalist did that 😍😍😍
written on the glass door was for stigma shortfilm concept
Wings is a Masterpiece
I think you missed something. V is coming out of the phone booth. The same one that RM was trying to get to. When the show the camera angle from the inside you can see the phone booth to the right of him just before he steps out.
They all use back track and to be honest Jimin’s choreography is super hard... i love Jimin’s voice and dance 😍
Nice reaction 💜 don't worry it takes time to know about them .. armys are just defensive for BTS because of haters ..but don't be discouraged ...
Stigma & taehyung is the king of all kings
They actually run on treadmills while singing to perfect their voice while breathing - so that they can have advanced choreography and sing live at the same time. But they of course have to have a back track as well - so they have a chance to catch their breath.
This makes sense...and is a smart idea...good conditioning is essential to having the stamina to do what they do on stage
Their vocal is good because always improved their vocal to be good untill now...
Sometimes they add backing vocals to help it sound more “full” and sometimes it’s just because the dance moves are so difficult and they need a little extra help.
I really wish I experience this live 😭
Crazy thing about jungkooks stage here is they had done like 4 songs already lol but he was the first solo to get on stage so the others had time to change and rest for a few before doing their solos where jungkook basically had none lol jungkooks stability physically and vocally is just crazy… it’s unmatched and he’s just getting better and better
11:23 he is dancing as well so dancing and singing high notes its realllyyyyy hard. I dont think i mind the track at the background
shoooot....i know i didnt!, lol
INF1NIT3 SIN 😂😂 wow the sarcasm well u asked for it
Jungkooks breath control is insane.
The song "Begin" is a song Jungkook wrote to his BTS brothers
" I don't wanna stop watching "
I understand
After your 1st set of solos (from their WINGS album 2016) definitely watch/listen to their 2nd sets of solos from their LOVE YOURSELF: ANSWER album 2018.
