The puller with the long sprung handles is a drive chain splitter, and as you said , used for removing pins, The more tools you have the easier the job will be, we can all make do, but you can’t beat a job specific tool for ease of use😄
Do you think the first puller you show with knife edges would work for pulling off an arbor gear with limited clearance (about .150") from a shaft without damaging the teeth of the gear that extend across circumference?
