In Israel we who come from Chechnya Dagestan Azerbaijan we see each others as brothers and we dont want to seperate us so instead of calling ourselves Chechen Dagestani Azerbaijani we call our selves Kavkazi which includes everyone from there.
South Indian Classical Music has a particular scale called " Thodi " which is exactly the same as in here. The beauty is, playing the notes without any frills or shake will not produce the same feel as playing the notes with the frills. Western classical music cannot reproduce the scale 'thodi' since there is a Raag called ' Sindhu Bhairavi' which has the exact same notes as 'Thodi' (with some extra notes) but is more lighter on the shakes and frills. Great to stumble upon something like this!
Wonderful, art has no frontiers, we must recognize the great gift to humanity, in the case of the Jewish people as a light into the nations, nothing stopped the creativity and excellence to paint their soul in a way that the surrounding communities could understand making language a kiss into good souls.
because there is no official alphabet for the language. it is strictly an oral language which has been past down . since there is no alphabet and most people know how to read Cyrillic writing they use that just as some people use Hebrew writing.
Let's come back to Avinu She ba Shamayim my brothers. We are a Holy people, we have G-D given spiritual powers in our hands if only we choose to surrender and come back to our Holy Father, He will open up the gates of Blessings on us His Children. Mashiach is COMING my brothers We need to wake up NOW!!!!!!
Because Caucasian Jews descendant from Persia. We moved from Persia to Caucas before Persian become Muslims. Thus, for exapmle, most Iranians don't know that Juhuri means in ancient Persian Jew. Since Persian were converted to Islam Iranian Language absorbed a lot of arabic words.
This is other worldly I just looked up kavkaz Jewish music I feel like this is the music from the time of Adam and Noah if anyone reached the 6th gate is them I'm set back
Most of them moved here to Israel in the 1950's many also after 1990 when the Soviet empire fell apart many thousands from Gruzia-Georgia, Bukhara, Tashkent, Azerbeyzhan,Turkmenestan, and other groups of Jews from west Asia. Many migrated there after we were expelled fro Israel by the Babylon conquest, then moved north through the later Persian Empire into Iran Iraq,Syria, lebanon many to Israel again and again exilled by the Romans 2000 years ago we return
Anyone have a really good english site explaining this type of music and the history behind it? Being that I am an American I am of course void of any knowledge in regards to this culture. I tried searching on google but cannot understand the language. Thanks and God bless.
Myst345, you're right. Juhuri used to be written in Hebrew. However, this changed with Sovietization. Hebrew came to be seen as "reactionary " by Soviet authorities. In 1927, Latin alphabet was introduced despite resistance. Then in the 30s it was replaced with Cyrillic. But to answer your question as to why cyrillic is still used, I guess the answer is habit. Are you Juhuri yourself?
