Your support fundamentals series in particular helped me a lot to focus on the basics at a time months ago when I was over-complicating my games. Since then I have been steadily chipping away and I’ve been having fun with the game in a way that I haven’t since I was new! As for this video, I have yet to face a Rell since the rework which is somewhat scary because I know a random onetrick is going to wreck me 😂. Hopefully now I’ll at least have a rough idea of her game plan. And one last time… thank you! ❤
Picked up Rell for the first time a couple of days ago and have a 75% winrate in 40 games, absolutely loving her and I've been waiting for this video so I can take her to the next level, thanks!
Shurelya's has been feeling awesome on Rell to me for similar reasons that Thresh likes it. I'm at a point where it's almost the only mythic I buy on her. Good AP ratios, playmaking, ability haste, and Rell's E procs the passive for a very large move speed burst. It also just helps a lot with mobility when dismounted due to the ms cap being removed.
If it works it works, the thing about Rell is she really needs to be in the thick of things. So building a non-tank mythic is quite risky, whereas Thresh can thrive in keeping enemies at an arm's length.
Even tho the item is pretty expensive, I like to rush deadmans plate. It allows you to engage and roam so much more smoothly ! What do you think about triumph and tenacity as secondary runes ? I feel like triumph really suits her go in + 2nd engage playstyle !
I have played around with that item too, it's definitely worth a mention :) I think they're a bit situational, sounds hard to get value out of them consistently. Need to kill someone for triumph, need to stack legend tenacity. Can work in lower elos with extended games though. Resolve will give more consistent skirmish value imo
@@CoachCupcake Oh right that's a good point. I find it hard to jauge a rune's efficiency. I personally like to watch the end game stats and I am biased towards the big numbers : if bone plating only blocked 500 damages -> bad because on some champs I can get to 1000. But then if this rune allowed me to survive an early gank and prevents the enemy jung from snowballing, it'd harder to tell...
Thanks for the advice i had such a hard time with new rell till now or better yesterday hope with your tipps that i can become better or as good as with old rell. What i not understand wwhy riot tried too place rell in the jungle?
Yeah I read this mostly as "so support mains have something to play when they get assigned jungle, especially newer players who may have 0 clue how to play other champions."
@@Ilandria. Sorry but that would not make sense because jungle is harder too learn than mid and as a support main mid is most the time for all the flex role or? And their are junglers out that have a easy play more or less!
He explains in the video, but the TL;DR is just that points in W don't give you much value compared to the other skills per rank. Also imo W isn't as reliable due to the smaller hotbox and not being able to cast E while dismounting to guarantee it.
I followed this guide and got reported and suspended for trying to ward objectives 30 seconds early, and my adc kept leave me to die on lane or when I tried to roam. Either crap guide, or absolutely not for emerald skilled players

If I want to play Rell in a Team environment should I take Minion dem instead of Future market?
I'm just never a fan of that rune tbh, unless you use it on 3 cannons to cheat prio. Even the pro's autopilot and waste this rune. Up to you though

I still build her like the old one with cdr boots, glacial+ultimate hunter secondary. f+w r still broken!
i switched from top lane to support/mid. top lane feels useless. with rell i have been winning wayyy more

Why no W max though, and if you max q/e as first isnt aftershock better on her?
