Hello Sandra. When Jesus said My God, my God, why have You forsaken me, it didnt mean he felt discouraged of felt forsaken. He was quoting the beginning of Psalm 22, the very psalm that prophesied the way He would die. It is very likely that it drew attention of one of the thieves on the cross. He was a Jew so He must have attended Sabbath school when He was Young so He could remember the psalm. Then when He saw the scene of crucifiction He went though the way of salvation. He saw, He believed, He confessed his sins, He repented, He asked for mercy, He called Jesus Lord and King and He accepted Jesus' s promise. Satan could nail Him to the cross but He couldnt stop Him from saving people.
We rode into town the other day Just me and my Daddy He said I'd finally reached that age And I could ride next to him on a horse That of course was not quite as wide We heard a crowd of people shouting And so we stopped to find out why And there was that man That my dad said he loved But today there was fear in his eyes So I said "Daddy, why are they screaming?
