Hi Jonny. I took my Float X to my local suspension guy for a full service. As luck would have it, he had one kit in stock. So I bought it and since he was doing a full service, he installed it for no cost. I'm don't feel a huge difference between the high and low setting, but I happy to see the blue adjuster there. 😁
As I ended up sending the bike back didn't really get much chance to test out the settings and difference between 0 and 9 :-( so couldn't tell you if it made much of a difference.. at least you know you have upgraded the shock as much as possible and now on par with the performance elite
It sounded to me that you said this upgrade gives 4 clicks of adjustment. Is that correct? Fox's spec say that Performance Elite and Factory have 11 clicks of low speed compression adjustment. So this upgrade doesn't quite make it identical to them. Still, I agree that it is a nice upgrade from 0 clicks of adjustment.
@fuckinellitsraymo the new adjuster should go straight on without moving anything on the shock. The cap only fits one way due to shape so just put straight on

@@jonnybrown5715 I'm very happy with the upgrade. Thanks for this excellent video.
Nice upgrade!
Thanks!
Appreciate the one handed skills
I came cross vid and was like wait I have a Float X on my Reign E2 looks like I can do this upgrade to it. Do you have the kit part # ?
www.ridefox.com/fox17/help.php?m=bike&id=2846 part number and instructions :-)

If I did that was a mistake as it gives 0-10 points of adjustment
@@jonnybrown5715 Thanks for the clarification. I replayed that part several times.
@kenmueller4788 yeah, sorry, sometimes I talk too quick... Noticed I need to slow down lol😂
Do you adjust the small oval adjuster stem to face forward or backwards to place the no 1 part of the dial to the front of shock?

Me and my mates got them off ebay. Seem to have loads of stock
If you pop that plastic cap off and turn the oval piece underneath you get free adjustment. Set it then forget it 😮
@S14AA it's hard to remove the plastic without damaging it. Also, dial looks cool and a relatively cheap upgrade 😀
The black cap has the drive already in it!!!! no need to remove it, just turn it!!! mine works great and made a great difference.
Wow, so basically you converted a Performance to a factory.
Yes and for less than £50
Not worth it
Very finicky
