I’ve had ongoing bv for the past two years. Not many symptoms. Very bloated always with back pain and though I don’t smell anything myself I keep going back to the doctor bc I do notice other people smelling me and acting disgusted and each time j go to the doctor it’s bv. Most recently it’s bv accompanied with frequent uti’s. It’s gotten so bad that even a urologist doesn’t know what to think… I keep looking for answers and seeing if there’s more treatment but nothing has worked. Very depressing to continue living like that. No friends. No sexual life whatsoever and not even diets of probiotics or boric or anythinggggg works. I just LIVE with the shame and embarrassment everyday
Hey you are not alone I've had it twice try to not use anything with fragrance I use a Vagisil PH Balance Daily Wash and you can buy Gels and Pessaries to treat it and Antibiotics but the Antibiotics for it are horrible ent they? The Sexual Health Clinic says some women are more prone to it than others. I don't use fragranced washing powder try that too. Xxxx

Maybe try going for a while without underwear if you can, I think airing out the space can help with it. Our hoohas aren’t meant to be covered so the moisture can easily throw off the balance. The first time I had it, I was given medicinal creams, it was summer and I was a sweaty child. It didn’t come back for years because I had learnt excess moisture can trigger it. Then I had it again years later (like 7-8 years later) and I had triggered it with a combo that included excess moisture. I aired it out and waited till my period and it cleared. Now is my third time, few years later again , I’m gonna go commando again and I think it’ll clear again
Facts it’s sad the doctors not saying that, and they try to make it seem as if it’s not a std that’s so weird, and honestly for right now I don’t feel it’s curable. Yes you can take all these different things to keep it under control, But it’s not making it go away. You have to keep taking those things like boric acid etc. Also it’s connected to HIV. These are the things we don’t want to hear and the doctors not telling us about or learning, but having bv make you prone to hiv. Matter of fact a lot of women had bv before they got hiv. So it’s so fucking sad how these Doctors are handling this BV situation.
It’s not talked about enough that it can cause urgency like a uti. I’ve had the kind that causes a fishy odor. But I currently have one that is only causing urgency to urinate. Thought this may help someone
I am a teenager.. and i think i have BV since i experienced all of its symptoms... I am afraid to tell my parents because it's embarrassing and gets quite awkward... I have not went through sexual intercourse before and I'm still asking... how to get rid of BV at home... like what to eat and what not to eat.. And what habit i should change..
@@enatorialidk if you have or haven’t but please tell someone you trust about this it’s important to get it treated right away save yourself the pain ik it is embarrassing i understand how you feel but honestly it’s nothing you should be embarrassed about it’s so common and it happens to more people than you think… best of luck hon and I hope you told someone and got it treated ❣️
Ladies, I would suggest starting w mom, can ibtalak to you about something in private, and just simple say i think i have a yeast infection and need to see a doc, if things go too long it can cause other issues. Things i do that help is i only use dove unscented, monistate w boric acid is also very helpful, and sometimes using a little deorderant perferably mitchum solid, inbetween your lips and outer lips can really help a lot just a little. Look at it as no difference then putting deoderant under your arms, but see a doc before anything ladies
@@enatorial yes a 100% you should if you trust her go for it I’m sure she will help you hon to go to the doctor and get it checked that way your not alone
Trichomonas please don’t wait til it turns into something more serious my child’s father gave it to me while pregnant it can also develop from untreated uti
Pop a chewable vitamin C 'up there' overnight. I treated myself successfully without a doctor who just kept in dishing out antibiotics. Wear some knickers or youll ruin your carpet when you get up 😊
But it doesn’t last , the BV definitely comes back but boric acid is good until you run out then it’s back to spending $30-$60 on a bottle, go get it cured permanently.
Yeah I have pain with mine. But no one ever says anything about the pain. I do all the normal things to not get it and I don't smoke or drink. So I don't get it
I don't get pain with mine as far as I'm aware of that's odd. It says about not using fragranced things like washing Powders or Washing Bubbles in your bath. I use a Vagisil PH Balance Daily Wash and there's a gel you can get to treat it and pessaries and the Antibiotics which are horrible. Xxxx
Hi dr I had bv in my pregnancy and I had a premature birth as it was not treated than. I was given antibiotics in hospital and after that i took flagyl for the next two months because of recurrent bv. I want to know that is there any chance for Fallopian tube blockage because of bv?
I've heard of women having an std for a long period of time can affect our reproductive system but BV is not an infection like an std. It's just an unbalanced ph level.
@@lakendrajones8449 Thankyou so much. So I shouldn’t be any worried as I had it for seven months continuously . I treated it everytime but it was left untreated it my pregnancy
Best thing to do is take a daily Lactobacillus probiotic supplement. That's what I ended up doing.
I’m a biomedical scientist working in microbiology and I see this very regularly on the gynae section when carrying out wet preps on vaginal swabs.

yellow itching and odor is BV?
Bv yeast infection or sometimes both
What about washing in water with a bit of lemon juice or a bit of salt in it.
That won't work. Please see a doctor if you have this
