    I have this radio in my collection. It is a great radio for people who want to get into CB radio. I first saw this radio on a channel called @Fred in the Shed. He made a lot of videos telling about the CRT SS 9900.

    Hello! The only thing that annoy me is the fact that if we switch from channel mode let's say CB 19 into frequency mode and accidentally we change the frequency, let's say from 27.185 to 28.185, when back in channel mode, it will keep the changed frequency. Practically the channel mode became useless, each and every time, when switching between channels I have to check the frequency and compare it to the frecquency table and when driving, this is almost impossible and very dangerous. This is a way to avoid that? Thanks!

    • @RadioVagabund
      @RadioVagabund Год назад

      You have to Switch from frequency mode to channel mode, than the channels are fixed. Thats all!

    • @alem7536
      @alem7536 Год назад

      @@RadioVagabund Nope, if you do that, the frequency will stay the one you changed, even if you turn the radio off and back on. I own the ss9900 and tried, so I know for sure Gabriel is right.

    • @alem7536

      Hi, I own the 9900 and noticed the same thing. The only solution I came up with, is to write down the frequency and channeI I work on, so I can adjust the frequency back to normal. Or, if things go south badly, you can always reset the radio via programming cable and pc.

    Could you show how to add 6 presets and how to remove them again .
    Does scan stay on some channels and not in others it seems to disappear as you change channel and appear fir some others

      If I am on let's say the international calling channel 27.5550 and I get a copy which is channel 12 if I press the frequency button and use the channel knob to move to a clear channel to talk does this knock the radio off frequency on channel 12.
      Do I have to reset the frequency back to 27.5550 on channel 12 again at end of conversation to leave radio on proper frequency .
      Thanks Ringo

      @@AirshowWorld my daughter is buying me one tomorrow i take it you like planes i worked at bae systems military aircraft division samlesbury when i started in 87 we still did refurbes on canberras when they were ready i used to go down to runway to watch them take off
      And they seemed so slow it lòoked like they were running out of runway before they floated up
      I once watched the old lightning fly over site then lit afterburner whoosh gone
      We built jaguar tornado then the thyphoon which in my oppinion is awful vèry very underpowered the engines 2 ej 200 each pushing 13500lbs of thrust absoloutely pathetic for an air superiority fighter
      Now also ground acttack hopeless
      No where near even mig 29
      I dont like f35 sorry stealth or not one engine no chance f22 is top
      But brits building new jet tempest and they say itll b dogs bollocks
      My dad worked there and he told me
      About aqqn engineer who was worked on a jet refurb but hed forgot to disengage the ejector seat and he set it off it fired him into the roof bad do
      The ej 200s not good enough they are going to increase the engines by 15 percent to increase sales but theyre not good enough
      The russian su57 is not good they reckon engines crap same with chineese j20 i reckon if they could build enginès they would b able to match west because chineese electronics are good but engines are hopeless
      When i refer to useless i mean compared to wests jets
      I spoke to a yank once who worked for raytheon who make cruise missiles straight out of the blue he said to me do you know where we got technology for the stealth bombers and jets i said well ive had an idea for years he said right adrian what do you think i said you got it from the crashed craft at roswell in 1947 he said bloody hell how did you know i said well we aint that clever
      He was itching to tell someone i told him full confidence id never reveal his name
      Now believe me or not thats what he said
      I think if war broke out watch what the americans bring to the party from outerspace
      Boy i can talk good hobby radio to get back into
      It will b a few weeks before i get set up ill have someone set it all up for
      Me im not fit to go up a ladder these days im rather poorly but it looks a smashing rig
      Iĺ keep intouch

      Rubbish 🤣 excellent radio, I had one & the heatsink got warm at best. anyway it's not a 'CB' you are probably running it full whack power on FM permanently with a high SWR (but not high enough to trigger the high SWR warning feature) you are clearly not a Ham.
