- Here's my first go at a vlog! Let me share with you a snippet of how I batch prepare homemade dog food for my toy poodles! I usually prepare for 3 recipes, 2 cooked and 1 raw every month or month and a half. That way I am able to manage my time. The recipes I use are vet formulated by NHV. I've been feeding my poodle your recipe for a while now, my bank account thanks you! I use the raw recipe to fill his kong for when he is at home alone for a long time and he always manages to finish it, it usually last him around 40 minutes and then he is so tired that he sleeps until i'm back home!

THANK YOU THIS IS WHAT I WAS LOOKING FOR! I cook all the food for my family and even my daughter's school lunch they have never eaten the school provided lunch. I already meal prep my lunch for work and since we will be getting a PooChon soon and I wanted to cook for the dog as well because some of the dog food smells gross, looks unappealing as well as expensive. Of course let's not forget the constant recalls. I am a canner and I have my food handler's license so why not!

Yes. I use minced meat more often than not :) the dark brown one is most likely beef.

Hello! Yes you can! The batches are kept frozen, I just defrost 1 bag each time and it lasts them 3-5 days. Hahah, Bailey is a bottomless pit when it comes to food I think. Yes, southerner XD
Can you please show me what you're putting in the powder of his vitamins for his food I have a little 5 lb poodle 7 years old starting him on homemade food he eats ground lamb with carrots broccoli and bell pepper in it loves it but needs his vitamins and also chicken with the same stuff in it and ground beef substitutes for vitamins what do I need to put you need to show me clearly cannot see as you're doing the food thank you it would help

I feed my 7 years old girl I cook her liver mixed with apples some soft dog food chicken hearts she loves it she eats it every day but I do want to try something else I don’t kno if it’s healthy eating everyday twice ?
Hi Ferenc! Thanks so much for your input! Ohh, there is a proper balance among the proteins, vegetables and carbohydrates supposedly! I have a video with a completely balanced recipe if you are interested.
As far as I know, it is very important to rotate proteins and keep their meals nutritionally balanced.

Is cooked food better than can food for dogs?Why all vets recommend canned food?
The recipes I used are vet formulated by NHV. I will not be able to speak for you which will be better for your own pets as I honestly think every dog is different.
Just as I as a human being cannot live off of canned food, I use the same logic for my own pets. But this is solely my own choice as they did not do well on most commercial foods.
If canned and commercial food works for your pets, then go for it. 😊

hello, hope you read my message. my pup is a very picky eater, when she transition into solid food, she always skip it. We change thrice for kibbles and finally decide to transition her to home made rigth now. I follow your recipe but it seems that she doesnt want the ground meat. I tried, chicken, beef and turkey, but no luck. Any advice? i feed her twice a day, she’s 8months old bichon. Thanks in advance.
Maybe try adding some bone broth to it?
Or Try running it through the food processor to mix it all up a bit more it may not be the meat she's being picky with

Hi!! Apologies for the late reply! How much exercise and food do you give her? What I realized from my own dogs is that sometimes we overfeed them? So we may mistake it as them becoming picky eaters?

I can’t share all the recipes to avoid encouraging people to use them as it’s a recipe formulated for the weight, size and conditions of my dogs. Not sure how it will affect other people’s pets. 😅
