  • The Lincoln Motor Company has been on a roll lately to be taken seriously as a world class American luxury brand and while that new era started with the reintroduction on the Aviator, the fully redesigned #LincolnNautilus is one the brand's best-selling vehicle and it takes on the top selling #LexusRX. The #NautilusBlackLabel is the top trim and for the first time ever, #Lincoln is now offering a #NautilusHybrid with up to 310 HP and 30 MPG combined. Happy almost Friday guys! For a vehicle that traces its lineage to a fancy version of the Ford Edge, the all-new Lincoln Nautilus has morphed into a world class midsize luxury SUV! We managed to snag both the Hybrid and Gas versions to test out in this video and both powertrains are well matched to this chassis, so there isn’t a wrong choice. But for just $1500 bucks, the Hybrid is an easy decision that will pay for itself in fuel savings pretty quickly. Expect us to get one of these together with the latest Lexus RX hybrid soon for a detailed comparison test! 🙌

      Agree. WAY too expensive. The Nautilus should top out at $65 - $70,000. I bought a '20 CPO Aviator Black Label 6 months ago. It had 31,000 on the odo and I paid $50,500. The MSRP was $82,000 (which Lincoln incredibly raised to $87,000 for 2024 just to put some distance between the Aviator and the Nautilus!).

    I bought a hybrid Reserve 3 about a month ago. My first impression is that Lincoln is offering a relatively low price for the value in order to gain market share. I am a long time Honda fan who traded in a 2019 Acura RDX for this car. I am commenting on this video because I REALLY like Sofyan's honest reviews. My neighbor said the styling is futuristic; I think it will age very well. I especially like the the door handle integration; I see cars that have door handles that pop out and this solution is is way more "organic". The steering wheel shape is completely fine; different but comfortable. The display is very useful. I thought I had to have a heads up display in any future vehicle but this is actually better. The map so high in the display is brilliant. I am an old guy who plays in a band and the cargo capacity is great. The fact that the rear seats can slide back and forth is a nice touch. I am somewhat of an audio snob (full disclosure, I spent my career working for Harman as a design engineer and still own two home Revel systems) and the sound system is quite excellent. All is not perfect. The mechanical brakes get noisy in the last five feet of stops (I'll mention that in my first dealer visit). I am looking forward to my road trip from Utah to the Austin MotoGP race in a couple of weeks.

      Nothing to do with insurance premiums... There are far more expensive parts on this car versus the center infotainment screen. But as a reminder the old 2023 Nautilus had a 13.2" touch screen that you interacted with. I have to say sorry, but my 2023 sienna have 244 hp and it is making 37.2 mpg. More than happy. 635 miles per tank. 13-14 galons to refill the tank. The sienna is an all in one car. Economy, space, comfort and quality drive.

    It’s a beautiful car outside with a beautiful looking interior. I don’t know if it’ll outsell a Lexus rx or Acura mdx anytime soon, but a beautiful car nonetheless. It looks cool for sure, I’ll give it that.

    • @KNRS927
      @KNRS927 6 месяцев назад +1

      @@naveenthemachine It depends what you’re looking for. Most RX buyers want a luxury SUV that’ll go beyond 100k or even 200k miles without breaking a sweat while doing minimal maintenance work. This car probably will have a lot of electronics issues with all that tech, on top of not having the most reliable engine to begin with. All I’ll say is Lincoln might’ve produced the best interior and exterior, looks wise, among this segment. It’d be a fun lease vehicle for sure. Just other things folks look at when buying.

      @@KNRS927 any car will last 100k miles if you take good care of it.
      If reliability mattered so much then why hasn’t bmw Audi Lincoln Mercedes Porsche Jeep etc gone out of business yet?
      If you want the ultimate luxury of reliability get a Camry or corolla

    • @KNRS927
      @KNRS927 6 месяцев назад +1

      @@naveenthemachine Sure, but trying to keep a Porsche to 200k will cost you way more money than, say, a Land Cruiser.
      As for the second question, not everyone on the planet cares about reliability, Its just if you’re a Lexus RX buyer, that’s likely a major priority and I don’t see this car stealing away those buyers.
      Its a beautiful car, and if you’re willing to put in the money and time to keep it or like to switch cars frequently, go for it. Just the car Lincoln is targeting, there’s that one thing that attracts buyers to that car and shoving all this tech might scare those buyers away.

    Love the exterior and mpg specs...but the horizontal LED light "movement" on the front-end overwhelms the vehicle's thin amber turn-signal.
    I would deactivate that feature OR slow it down...Failing that, I would not by a Nautilus.

    For the 3 spots to put info, I'm a little disappointed with the choices. I don't see any reason to constantly display either trip info or the fuel economy or the tire pressure. The clock is redundant since it's in the upper corner of the small screen. That just leaves the weather and your music that's playing as the only two things worth displaying. Even then it's not entirely necessary for them to be displayed. A map would be nice so your passenger can help navigate. Also, it would be nice to choose two of them to watch videos or movies on while the vehicle is in park. Essentially, I feel as if they've wasted this screen real estate. But it looks nice.

    Test drove base and hybrid model and felt both were underpowered. Also, was not very comfortable. Looks nice tho. The IMAX screen is a bit of a gimmick and adds to the maintenance. Lincoln still having issues with its single screen infotainment system....I actually went with a BMW X5 which cost 6 grand less and gave me everything plus 375 hp....
