This music is too damn good to go unused in a future creative work. I give my word, if I ever got lucky enough to make a movie, I'd happily pay for the rights to use it. I first heard this theme in 1995, and it stuck with me. It's seriously one of my favorite pieces of horror music, rest in peace Eno.
トラック1と3の編曲を担当しました。モスクワ一泊二日の強行軍でしたが充実したレコーディングでした。とても懐かしいです。 I arranged tracks 1 and 3. It was a very fulfilling recording session, even though we had to stay in Moscow for two days and one night. I miss it very much.
Had his untimely death not occurred, I can only imagine what awesomeness Kenji Eno would've produced as he made his return to gaming in full. I hope the mapo dofu is good on the other side!
That photo of Laura on the SEGA Saturn cover was taken from the cut scene just before Laura is about to go up the staircase that was hidden behind the shelf of books.
Staff Roll Lyrics (Best I could decipher, I might be completely wrong): [brackets like these means I'm still trying to figure it out] [Edit, added in more lyrics thanks to some help from Tim Madone, thank you for that] (spoken) Raise the Torchlight, to those fears, oh yeah, why don't you fight, [something repeated twice that sounds like "In a dream"] You're just walking step by step [something] the beast in the light You can look out [something] if you want, the fear So, ride on, but you don't [wait/watch] for it Don't you [forget?] [watching me/what you need], oh yeah You can delight (in the torchlight) But I can't see the [something] (through the fear) Why don't you fight (in the torchlight) 'Cause you give it to me, (the light) You can delight (oh yeah) But I can't see the [something] Why don't you fight, (oh you'll fight) Cause you give it me I can't fear it no more (Spoken dialogue) [something something] with hugs and kisses, light you torchlight, then you'll die, like a soldier in his lover's arms I can't fear it no more I can't fear it no more I can't fear it no more (I can't fear it, I can't fear it, no more, I can't fear it...) [back to me] Sorry this is the best I could do, I can barely understand them at all but maybe we can figure this out together, maybe someone has the lyrics and I just couldn't find them but I tried the best I could do, I'm sorry, hopefully this helps someone else

The song is called "Torchlight" & the lyrics are in English. But the accents are so strong, it's hard to make out most of the words. Kenji Eno plays the guitar on the instrumental version of the song that plays during the credits of all other versions of the game. But for the director's cut, a vocal version of the song was recorded with Hitoshi Hamamoto as guitarist.
@@timmadone8930 Hey, you wouldn't happen to know where to find the lyrics would you? I'm trying to decipher them to and I've posted my best guess in the comments here but I feel like I'm dumb for not figuring it out, I tried looking up Kenji Eno Torchlight and D staff music lyrics but I couldn't find anything, sorry to bother you after all these years
@@insanerabbitstudios No problem & no I don't. But here's what I've deciphered ( hopefully correct ) so far. "Raise the torchlight to the air...oooh...you know when you sleep at night the beast won't lurk in light...you get the strength to fight your fear...oh yeah....get right out & vanquish your dream...don't you forget what you need...oh yeah....you can delight with your torchlight as you raise it up in the air...why don't you fight with your torchlight?...can you give it to me for light?....you can delight...for the dark has no sound...why don't you fight?...can you give it to me?...why don't you fear it no more?...wake up...the dark is surrounding you with hugs & kisses...light your torchlight for the dark will consume you & then you'll die like a soldier in his lovers arms...why don't you fear it no more?...why don't you fear it no more?...why don't you fear it no more?...fade out. Usually Japanese imports come with a lyric sheet in English when there is a song that's sung in English. But that's not the case here. It's still a great song though & one of my favorite game songs right along with "In Awe Of The Power" from SOTC, "Go Tell Aunt Rhody" from RE7, "Anti-gravity" from Overblood, "Speed" from D2, & "You Were There" from ICO.
@@timmadone8930 Our guesses were completely different form each but did line up in spots. Thank you though, you did help me figure out more of what was being said. It's hard to figure it out but I've got most of it. I agree this song is amazing but understanding it is hard, though maybe with the lyrics a more understandable cover can be made by anyone interested.
LOL...okay. Kenji Eno did the same thing with his "D2: Sketches 1 & 2" albums. He had 99 tracks, but not all of the tracks contained music. And track 99 of both CD's contained a special live performance on the piano. If you take the time ( about 3 hours ) to flip through "D-The Novel", there is some interesting music & sound effects in that too. Including the Richter Harris shoot-out at the hospital & Vlad Dracula's impalement of his victims.

Ikr, a D/Enemy Zero/D2 OVA would be pretty great! Imagine one done the Galerians way.
i couldnt find this soundtrack any where on youtube because of the game's name
Your are here.

Wow! Will you please tell us more? The recording session occurred in Moscow? Did you have much interaction with Mr. Eno?
Had his untimely death not occurred, I can only imagine what awesomeness Kenji Eno would've produced as he made his return to gaming in full. I hope the mapo dofu is good on the other side!
True. I don't even know what happened to KakeXun. Was it ever released?
WARP INC. Not sure what happened to KakeXun, it was on Indiegogo but it seems to be missing or hidden away in draft mode.
I hope it gets released, because ripping people off in the name of a dead master would be truly sad.

Staff Roll Lyrics (Best I could decipher, I might be completely wrong): [brackets like these means I'm still trying to figure it out] [Edit, added in more lyrics thanks to some help from Tim Madone, thank you for that]
(spoken) Raise the Torchlight, to those fears, oh yeah, why don't you fight, [something repeated twice that sounds like "In a dream"]
You're just walking step by step [something] the beast in the light
You can look out [something] if you want, the fear
So, ride on, but you don't [wait/watch] for it
Don't you [forget?] [watching me/what you need], oh yeah
You can delight (in the torchlight)
But I can't see the [something] (through the fear)
Why don't you fight (in the torchlight)
'Cause you give it to me, (the light)
You can delight (oh yeah)
But I can't see the [something]
Why don't you fight, (oh you'll fight)
Cause you give it me
I can't fear it no more
(Spoken dialogue)
[something something] with hugs and kisses, light you torchlight, then you'll die, like a soldier in his lover's arms
I can't fear it no more
I can't fear it no more
I can't fear it no more (I can't fear it, I can't fear it, no more, I can't fear it...)

Great soundtrack.

What is song name of Track 2 composed by Kenji Eno? Any idea?

Is this the entire soundtrack?
In our veins flows the blood... of Dracula.
The ending theme was also in D2.
What is D's Diner, a separate OST release? Opening theme is in mono on the PS1 game disc
I know it's been a year, but "D's Diner" is the Japanese name of the special edition re-release which included the OST.

Can I have an MP3 download of this? :3
Message me on RUclips.
WARP INC. I want this too I love the music for this game. Brings back memories
There is actually 4 songs. You left out track 99.
There are many Tracks on the CD, but only 3 of them are songs. The others are simply nothing.
The first 3 tracks are songs like you said. However, if you skip to track 99, there is a song on that track too.
Could you upload it or link me it? I really want to hear it!
I'll upload all the remaining tracks in a couple of minutes! Yes, even Track 4 - 98!
