Renovation of the Black Horse pub, Climping

This Grade ll listed pub is a new addition to the Historic Sussex Hotels‪@HshotelsCoUk‬ portfolio, joining their existing Bailiffscourt Hotel & Spa in Climping, Ockenden Manor Hotel & Spa in Cuckfield and the Spread Eagle Hotel & Spa in Midhurst.
The Black Horse pub opened in March 2024, offering guests at the nearby Bailiffscourt an alternative style of eating and drinking, as it is in walking distance from one another!
The refurbished pub offers a brand new bar and timber framed restaurant extension as well as charming accommodation decorated using beautiful fabrics, antiques and art.
The new extension on the rear of the pub boasts a stunning green oak frame, meticulously handcrafted to seamlessly harmonize with the timeless elegance of the Bailiffscourt Spa. Each beam and joint exudes a craftsmanship reminiscent of bygone eras, evoking a sense of heritage and tradition.
