So here is a tutorial on how to fix your sandals.

I've had these sandals for more than 13 years, and they're still going strong, they look better than new!

Thanks Maria. Nope, it works brilliantly. This piece of metal is very thin, I have used thicker things before, like nails, and no bother at all. I would be afraid that the leather would slip through or break after a while. But worth trying...
