REVIEWING MY FAVORITE SET AGAINST TOKIDO
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 1 дек 2024
- I've fought Tokido a handful of times in Street Fighter V at this point, but probably my personal favorite set of mine was at NorCal Regionals 2019. Watch me go over that Grand Finals and what was going through my mind through this crazy set against one of Japan's bests

This is literally how you become a better player
I love the way his voice changes when he's talking to youtube
weirdo wtf
@@Zenbon111 bruh punk on twitch talks way different LMAO
he sound like he standing in front of classroom, which makes sense lmao
he kinda sounds like snoop in YT😅
It’s different when your in the heat of the action compared to watching yourself so I understand why punk was coaching himself
Something I think only the best of the best can do or understand.
I remember being glued to the screen with this match. My 2 fav players just going bananas.
Thank you for this punk!
This was again very helpful to me and as you say others will also learn from it greatly.
You can always throw these kinda videos my way bro!
Respect!
I have to say this is the best video Punk or Pink ever put up, not only is he respectful about the other player, but he is down to earth in this one and speaks worthy of being one of the best players in the world, if Punk an Rob TV with his great interviews, which are impressive, keep this up they will go further than fighting games.
Love seein Punk analyze himself. Good stuff
Exactly. This is what separates good players from bad. He knows how to analysis and learn from his mistakes
@@TruLuan you sound kinda salty u good my guy
@@TruLuan if you hate it so much, why u here bro.
Im not telling you what to do but just being here to start something is not the way buddy
@@Hinaatje facts bro.
@@TruLuan Damn that’s pretty pathetic ngl. I genuinely feel bad for you.
Normally he talks so much trash on his opponents. Nice to see Punk admiring another fighter for a change.
Match was so sweaty, we gonna call it: the hot springs final.
Bro this match was so good. I remember watching it. Man I miss offline.
High-level fighting, punk and tokido are spectacular players. Punk S2.
I like how he says 'jab.' He says 'Jehb.'
That philly accent
Jyahb
Veygahh
The longer the video the better. Love this analysis, you the man Punk
Absolutely loved this vid Punk!
this awsome!
my cousin mikeyaru put me on to you, he played tokido in 2019 combobreaker and seeing you vs tokido in the title i had to watch
i need to get back in this game
Beautiful long video. This is what makes fighting games so enjoyable
So good to hear yah perspective on this great set mad respect for yah Punk 👌
This is video shows a lot about Punk. He looks good with the new trim/ haircut/ coif. Nemo says that Punk is physically advantaged and that helps him to be a superior player. However, from what I have seen on RUclips, he does not appear to be muscle-bound or have 12 functional fingers to better handle a controller. He might not have a PhD in physics or microbiology, but, he is highly learned and intelligent when it comes to SF5. He is not the only one, but, being a top player in SFV takes brains. It is also good to see him in a calmer state.
What?!?!?!??!?! Games in general take less brains and more muscle memory than say a PHD in physics or micro biology. I have no idea where your trying to go with your comment.
@@nickn5419 I totally disagree with you. First of all what is "muscle memory"? Is it contained in the biceps, triceps, pectorals, etc? The memory is contained (medically, scientifically) within the brain. Even quick reaction times make use of the brain. To my knowledge, there are no college courses in SFV, that is why you cannot get a PhD in it.
I have an M.S. in microbiology and it uses the same brain as SFV.
@@BadlndsBob im jus saying, you comparing video game knowledge to a PHD in science or otherwise.
Kind of a stretch bro. but whatever. I was a tourney player in street fighter 4. So I dont know why you need to have such a big ass brain. whatever floats your boat
@@nickn5419 Maybe your ability to compete successfully in a game like SF is more impressive than you think. The average person has no knowledge of the FGC and it's complexities. Maybe you don't have to know cell structure, statistics, antibodies, and types of antibiotics, but there is definitely more than meets the eye. Have you ever heard of the book, "Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance"? Thanks for chatting, dude.
I'm learning about the sweet science of Street Fighter 5. I stopped playing at SF4, but these videos are so good.
No joke, watching you Idom smug tokido and daigo got me back into SF. I stopped at 3rd strike cause I hated 4, but watching you all kill it made me wanna play sf in general again.
i remember you from the last video
@@mrraindrop2044 lol is that bad or good? I watch a lot of the content/gameplay from everyone I listed.. I am trying to get better and get out of gold 😖. These guys give a lot of good information so I always check in haha
@@user-wy1et9dk9w is good my Man, i'm a huge fan of punk, but im Just too bad in fight games, i want to improve but idk
@@mrraindrop2044 Just keep at it bro. I still suck but it's a great feeling to get down a new combo or win a hard match.
This is SFV at its highest level. Godlike skillz from both Punk and Tokido
This was the set/tournament that introduced me to Punk. The spacing/footies is godlike
Instant click. this set is so good.
Entertaining watch.
One of the best high level matches I've ever seen between Akuma and Karin.
PS: Nemo gave you a cool shout out on his stream, courtesy of FGC Translated uploads
Dude, I used to hate punk, now my favorite player. Also like problem X.
I want to see you in the top teabagging EVERYONE! Greatings from Brazil punk. Take care. Please read my comment.
yeah same here, just heard about him while watching Eterno Ninja and after hearing so much crap I decided to come here and found this guy, got surprised, he's funny af and play really well
I remember this set. That whole bracket was epic. I remember telling people y'all's story cause it was amazing
I would love to see you making an playlist of analysis in every evo match that you got desquilified to see what could you did better
Awesome set! Love the commentary def do more of these
Dragon ball player here getting into street fighter. Watching Punk's breakdowns kinda makes me want to learn Karin, these vids are sick.
Monumental set, love watching the chess matches y’all put on.
Oh man I remember this one...so fucking good, Tokido is mad crazy good, but you push it to the limit, this was so much better than the EVO match and was so close.
Love this type of content, hope you'll do more analysis and breakdowns of matches in the future, maybe the upcoming capcom cup?
I don't play sfV anymore but i still really like this game good stuff punk keep going !
That fight was too good! Great video!
Now we need tokido to analyze this match and post it
I remember this match mannnn it is sooo good
Godlike set!
PUNK: You see smug in there?
ME: ...no?
Keep the vids coming bro 💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽
probably my favourite sfv set, 2 godlike players at it... so hype
High quality content right there. seing pro players analyze their own play and mistakes yeah more content like this
The sheer amount of respect. great stuff.
Awesome video punk!
Love these videos
You know? I always thought Punk was a egocentric person, who had no sense of sportmanship. But watching this channel...He is a pretty chill and legit dude. Says what he wants and quite honestly i like that...
why would you make such assumptions
@@russhl125 no assumption. He was that way. Tokido humbled him. He's much more enjoyable now.
This was a lit set
No Cap🔥
Graceful loss, homie...
💯
You a whole beast outchea...
Great vid!! Please more mr Punk
shoutout to whoever did the mixing on the music in this vid
I loved this thanks for teaching us
Good sportsmanship you guys fought ur hearts out couldve gone either way
The top akuma vs the top Karin cant wait till u battle him again
Show some matches where someone did something and you were like, WHAT?! Whether it was a super niche gimmick or some rarely used or completely unknown setup. I don't even play SFV anymore but this high level shit is where it's at.
Normally I'm a lurker, but I wanted to comment in support of the longer video and content 👌
I started out with SMUG and now I got PUNK to add to my SF channel collection
Absolute master class
Best set in SFV history
I remember watching every major in 2019 and telling myself punk is going to take capcom cup easy... then he didn’t. I felt so bad...
Tokido in my opinion is the best player. Even though he uses the toppest tier character, his style makes magic on the matchup. Great match for both, you sure made the crowd mad just by the sets. ❤️
A good chunk of the reason why akuma is top tier is that tokido mained him.
@@imtilde True, he once said back in sf4 that he wanted to prove akuma is the best character in the game.
that was dope
More breakdowns homieeeee! 🖤🖤
Just as you stated my guy, I just started getting back into the SF scene and I literally watched this SET and was blown away by the reads/reactions, technical skills and the glorious commentating. Wish you all the success in 2021 Mister FLO-RIDA aka IG Killa
spininfinite with the shoutout to ya boy Waldo at 0:50.
man I was rooting for you the whole way, unlucky whiffs last round
You should do one of your fav set against bonchan.
Listening to Punk talk about Tokido vs LPN it feels like I’m hearing 2 completely different people.
That introduction went crazy
First the karin match up tier list and now this.... shits really starting to feel like an academy for a second 😂
Can you make a video on your match against Bonchan during EVO 2019 please ? It will be interesting
nice to see u
11:34 Bruh I do this all the time lmao. I thought I was the only one
I thought I was the only that waste meter to not get an input error. Big brain 🧠
I wanna see you vs Nemo or whoever is the best flashiest urien
Yay punk!
I think Punk needs to analyze him vs smug
every time i hear that karin’s theme i know i’m gonna be laughing
Don't worry Punk Akuma has been nurfed slightly

That set was fire
I like Tokido the most. I just feel like he's a super boss.
Tokido is the best player in Nihon. You know.
