I will say that the difference is that Jesse directly wronged Walter by ratting on him and betraying him in his perspective. So Walter doing this isn't him just being smug but him lashing out against him. Still horrible but we can at least see his thought process
This video was unnecessary, all you had to do was show Walter not going go-karting with Jesse and we would know who is more evil. All the other stuff was superfluous.
