This was very helpful! Are you able to tell me about silver laced crosses with blue lace red/gold ect too? And also how do the blue laced reds produce 25% splash? I had no idea! Thankyou! New subscriber🙂
Most chickens with dominate genes are coded like this BB/BB Its from both blue chickens having co-dominant genes with one recessive like this, Bl/bl the little bl is passed on as black so when white shows up, black presents its self as diluted like this Bl/Bl known as splash (mistakenly called lavender) in wyandottes. We will be doing more color tutorials on other wyandotte colors very soon. THANK YOU!!!
@@MBHeritageFarms thanks for that! And cant wait for those videos!
Beautiful chicken fun info, your shirt cracks me up Bobbie love it!
Such a great explanation!

Thank you!
Wow, that’s very interesting!
Thank you for watching!! ❤
Great.. informative
Glad you liked it
Beautiful chickens. I love the colors and they look docile too. Thinking of maybe getting some this spring, depending if the local hatchery has them.
They have become our very favorite. Much larger than we expected. also much quieter than our other chickens but love humans.
@@MBHeritageFarms Do the hens actually seat on their eggs?
We haven't given them the chance too lol. We get them out daily to consume.
But yes the they are good moms if given the chance. We would rather incubate for more quanity.
Thank you so much! Our roo is a blue laced red Wyandotte, and he is the sweetest one we've ever had! We plan on hatching some Wyandotte crosses this spring, our hens are silver laced and gold laced. Thank you!
You are very welcome, these colors work with other breeds as well. Thank you very much for the awesome comment!
I like the black and the white laced ones, very pretty. Have mainly just had barred rock and Easter eggers over the years, but will be diversifying soon.
I can't wait to get some Easter Eggers!! 🥰🥰
@@MBHeritageFarms they are super cool looking, and they are more likely to survive when predators come looking for chicken dinner, but they have a tendency of trying to hide eggs out in the woods - my only gripe about them
These are a pretty chickens too. Great information here.
Yeah they are purty birds but if I ever get my hands on the ones I really want ;) Thank you awesome VOON!
Thank you! They are pretty sweet chickens.
Thanks
I loved it ! I can’t have chickens in Moore, Oklahoma..
Oh no that stinks. Well we hope you enjoy watching ours! 🥰 much love! - Bobbie Jean
I really want these Wyandotte! I hear they are winter champs and lay all year long.
They are starting to come of age now and have been laying every other day. Our mixes lay everyday. :-)
👍
Nice Beard man, And I loved that painting, of The Indian on Peate's Live! Check Out Ojisan's World. You may enjoy it. *TFS about your Chickens*
Thanks so much! We will definitely check out that channel. 😁
Awesome..., does it matter if you use the pair switched?..., as in Blue Roo, Splash hen?
No it doesn't matter. As long as you have the combination of the two colors.
Where did yall get your rooster and chickens? they are absolute beauty!
We drove hours away to get this one particular flock of 4 blue laced reds. We cant wait to get chicks from them this spring, we will be incubating around 50. Thank you so much for your comment!
What colour would you get if you cross a golden laced with a silver laced?
Butter bars ;) Thanks for watching
Hello sir i’m intrigue about your wyandotte chickens. May i ask or any suggestions where to buy golden laced wyandotte and blue laced wyandotte fertile egg my location is california
We got ours from our local Facebook group in our area. Another avenue may to search up local hatcheries in your area to see what they have. Good luck my friend.
What happens when you cross your blue laced red wyendotte with your splash blew laced wydotte
50% Splash & 50% Blue laced
Thank you so much
@@declyncable6139 Sorry for late reply, you are very welcome
What’s the difference between a black laced red Wyandotte and a golden laced Wyandotte? Are they the same thing?
Red is really Black laced red. Golden laced is black also but has gold penciling instead of red, they are different chickens. Thank you for commenting
@@MBHeritageFarms ok thank you! I’m looking into ordering some chicks from a local hatchery. I already have 2 golden laced Wyandottes but was wanting a blue laced red Wyandotte. The hatchery’s website says blue/black/splash laced red (hatchery’s choice between the 3 when I order). With a quick glance at pics online I couldn’t tell much of a difference.
@@melanieclark2304 yeah i also have seen hatcheries calling splash wyandottes, blue and sellng them as such. Its crazy how some dont or they are just being dishonest.
