I first heard this song on Peaky Blinders. Now it haunts my days. What a treasure.
What exact episode pls?
S6. E5. “The Road to Hell”
around the 45min mark
Same here. I hear it in the middle of the night
SAME
This song suited the downward spiral of Thomas Shelby in Peaky Blinders Season 6 Episode 5 so well. Brought tears to my eyes.
That scene totally made me appreciate this song more
SAME
I want to cry. Not from sadness. Not from happiness. Something deeper
recognition and gratitude
Yes.
It's spiritual ❤️

Me too!!!! This song leaves you to choose what dimension you want to fly and dream, ith fits with absolutely all the reality 's.
Imagine having a father who can play such a masterpiece randomly in the basement while you are in your room doing your paper or talking to a friend on the phone.
This is funny because his son played drums on this soundtrack and his daughter helped with the artwork! A family affair. 😭❤️
Please never die, Thom. World needs you.
Not
Pure genius. His music will live forever..
The world doesn't need another leftist arrogant douchebag.
mmm not,intelligent @@michaelmyers492
@@tchwiss Haha... Typical Radiohead fanboy. Pretends to be sensitive, humanist, deep and clever. But in real life, is a degenerate and hysterical *sshole who have dark, sick and violent thoughts because he can't stand an opinion.
I didn't expect this beauty.
Beautiful!!!!!
Thom’s genius struck again.
could've gotten used by now;)
Really? This is your first time listening to Thom? 😏
Warren, the guitar cover please !! ;-)
That dude has unlimited chill.
We heavily need From the basement.
daisy\fuse what do you mean?
Oh I see what you mean, 😅 Ignore me.
It's been...far too long :c
It's an urgent operation!!
but an AMSP from the basement
For me, he is the absolute best Musician of our time ...no where else you can find such a depth, quality, authentic to the Music...Outstanding!
Totally agree.
Radiohead should do form the basement off a moon shaped pool!
From the Basement doesn't exist anymore... It was a web series that ended in 2009.
They tried it, didn't like it, so sadly they're not releasing it.
Jeremy Jensen 2009? What about King of limbs live?
@@KidHellacious Nigel has the power to give and to take away. That's still a long time ago... The best we can probably hope for is more PTA produced minimal set performances, like the couple they already produced for A Moon Shaped Pool.
Jeremy Jensen I had no idea Nigel was the one behind FTB. Makes so much sense. Thanks
I'm crying. This 50-year-old man can make me cry. Celestial perfection.
Its not about age. Its about the person. Me too.. first sound he lets out and my eyes are wet and my body is filled with goosebumps. Divinity
He turned fifty on the seventh (a little under three weeks ago from our posts). And I do think it's remarkable and impressive and fortunate that Thom is still giving us new creations that are so intensely good, and that his voice is still beyond beautiful. I'm so glad my time alive has coincided with his so I've gotten to experience all of this as it happens.
Celestial perfection
When Thom was young, he made a comment about not wanting to be an old rock star and here he is as better as ever.
I understand you.
I hope you are ok.
Be positive
I respect you
This man has provided more pleasure from his work than any other human alive.
Mathieu Blais what about mya khalifa?
paul mccartney?
I have to partly agree with this one. Partly since the world is full of amazing artists I respect but Radiohead/Thom Yorke just happens to be my favorite of them. I also agree with it more what comes to album experience. I just tend to go back to their albums more often than any other artists work. It also proves that music doesn't have to be that complex to move you to the core. I think that's very encouraging for any music maker to realize.
I love it when Thom does stripped down performances like this. His vocals really shine through. Beautiful song.
The part this plays in the movie is insane. You will never in your life expect what happens during this song. It is strangely beautiful and repulsive at the same time. A weird juxtaposition.
MARKOS
Death to any other mother!
Agreed. I can watch that scene over and over and bawl every time.
@@matheush.r1488 your head explodes.
One of the most beautiful song I’ve heard in a while...
OverJam52 me too
yessssssssssss
Thom reminds me that beauty & sincerity still exists in this life. That gives hope.
Lyrics:
Come under my wings, little bird
Come under my wings
Unmade, unmade
I swear that there's nothing up my sleeves
And then back again
I swear there's nothing
Unmade
There's no faces
Won't grow back again
Broken pieces
Unmade
I swear there's nothing
And then back again
I swear there's nothing
Come under my wings
Come under my wings
Come under my wings
Under my wings
Unmade
thank you!
thank you for the lyrics! they add an extra dimension to already powerful vocals
Is this about Madame Blanc and Susie?
He doesn't stop delivering, he still has it! I'm so glad this man keeps making music, still marking the difference!
This really hits me hard.
Reminds me of Ingenue live version!
Yeah me to...
The vocals in Suspirium has a similar feel to Ingenue, therefore makes me think of Ingenue even more than this.
broken heart make it rain
From a grreeat height!
Sweet faced ones with nothing left inside/ That we all can love
YESTERDAY I WOKE UP SUCKING ON A LEMOOOON
Only Love can break your heart...and Thom Yorke...
just heard that. READY THE LAWYERS 😋
Shit man it does too
is this a neil young reference?
@@kiwikakashi yes but I'm not insinuating he 'ripped it off', it's well documented that Thom Yorke is a big fan of Neil Young's music ☺
It's just a vague passing similarity that caught my ear ☺
Ahhh!!! That piano... Absolute perfection. Yorke, you did it again.
Really? That’s not perfection or even absolute. It’s nice. Come on let’s put things in perspective in a world that likes to express ‘absolute perfection ‘ for something that’s ok. I enjoy this platform but just cannot abide expressions as this. Just live a little and your appreciation can be tempered. Or just lay off the Prosecco before writing nonsense.
@@LEgoiste For me it is perfect. I do not usually speak for others and don't give opinions from others. I only speak for myself, and this song seems perfect to me. If it does not seem that way to you, it's your opinion, not mine.
If you do not like my opinion, follow your path and be happy.
Hey Sandra!! Small world, this internet!!
@@soulstorm_music Haha! It is true! The fans we are everywhere. Nice to see you here. :)
@@LEgoiste I can't abide by usernames with xX at the beginning and the end... Beauty is what we make of it and on piano imperfections are what makes it human and not robotic. Radiohead has a way to attract pseudo-intelectuals like I've never seen.
The most influential artist of my adult life... TY
This song takes a whole new meaning and perspective once you hear it in the film. Without saying too much, having such a lovely melody accompany some of the most brutal and twisted imagery only makes the whole experience that much more powerful and beautiful in a very sick way hahaha. Suspiria is not for everyone but having Thom Yorke make the soundtrack was the perfect choice to accompany what, in my opinion, is by far the best film of the year, and my new personal favorite film.
Have you never seen the original suspiria? If not, shut up,
This is the best song on the soundtrack!! Me love long time.
Even when it plays in the movie was perfect
he just continuously transcends anything being written or produced during the era he lives in. like he's stuck up in the clouds, operating in some celestial future, reflecting on the past, while we're all down here living in it.
Stupid
Haha well said
OMG Thom, you melt my heart, this is too beautiful.!!
The amazing voice, the amazing piano of Thom Yorke. 😭
I think this might just be one of his best song. How can one be such an amazing songwriter for so long how is it even possible
Dude, the musicality of this piece of music is at the level of a child. It's a few melodic notes, and bass chords at the start of every bar. It's not complicated. Then, over the top, you just whine, which people interpret as being "emotional", and then you have the artifice of it being a good song. But it really isn't. It's just boring, because, if you haven't noticed, Thom has been doing this kinda shit since "How I made my Millions?" which if anything, illustrates an almighty lack of progression in style, substance, and content.
@@rumourhats As someone who listens to a lot of complicated Prog, Jazz and fusion I'll just say if you think simple = boring that's just your opinion man. And it basically means you just started listening to more complicated and experimental stuff and you think you're so special and intelligent. Don't to push it on others and state it like it's a fact.
@@larkstonguesinaspic4814 Yes, I am aware that you're KC fan. And I'm not using "complicated music" as a barometer to good music at all. A lot of simple music can be really creative and effective. But Radiohead/Thom have been creatively bankrupt since In Rainbows - if they could be bothered to write something out of their comfort zone, it would be appreciated. The fact you think this is songwriting as its finest baffles me.
@@rumourhats hey if it's not effective at all for you then whatever. The majority of Radiohead fanbase think they still got it and A moonshaped pool was a great album. And they seem to be really loving this ones too. Same with the critics. So just don't state that stuff like it's a scientific fact.
@@larkstonguesinaspic4814 You're assuming I'm stating scientific facts. Of course, I'm not.But you asked a question, did you not? "How can one be such amazing songwriter for so long?" So, I have every right to answer it. Maybe other people will agree with you, and you will find that to be a more pleasant experience. Peace out.
Thom Yorke just gets better with age! His voice is silky smooth!
this man keeps pulling feelings from my head and heart and turning them into songs
Aint that the truth
Just can't stop listening this masterpiece
Thank you bbc for making this available, beautifully filmed legendary performance....yet another reason must save Maida Vale
I used to listen this when Í was passing through my divorce two years ago but even when the time has passed and Í am good again it still have the same impact on me.
He is beyond modern music
Adamsın.
He is beyond human
Doğru
In so many levels.
Mustafa Hasan Öztaş lol this is modern music
This genius is beyond this world and his music is from another planet, beautifully done.
I can't believe he made such a beautiful song. I love you, Thom. Can't put in words how your music helps me everyday.
What a good perfomance, thom still have the same creativity and live singing as always, incredible
I sat and heard this song come on in the sauna had me reflecting on my time in the Military while my eyes were closed…such a deep song I cried a little when it ended. Hit something in me
I can't believe how amazing this is. Thom is really one of all-time greats.
*wow... This would be a treasure.*
"Would"?
That voice....calls me in from the snow and warms my soul.
This is achingly and indescribably stunning. Speaks to my soul. Thom, your magical gift of music has penetrated deep down to my very soul since the first time I heard the music of Radiohead as a teen. I am eternally grateful for your existence on this wretched planet. 💜
The planet is beautiful, it's some of the people inhabiting it that aren't so beautiful! The tough part is being able to still focus on the beauty in the world even when there's so much sadness and pain 💕
"Just Beautifull..."
Thom Yorke touches my heart deeply with this beautiful song and his expressive voice. Thank You, Thom.
i cant be more proud to live on earth that thom yorke take stepts on it . thanks for every thing you've done for music legend .
Grande Radiohead y Thom Yorke
No se cansa de hacer temazos!
Thom and piano is just pure perfection 💜
Absolutly magnificent. D’une beauté absolue. Merci Thom Yorke pour ta poésie et ta musique.
all I need is to have someone who says “come under my wings, little bird”
Just SO good and SO beautiful, it's ridiculous. The man is a genius - and that is a word I hardly ever use!
My god, Thom Yorke's voice in this one just can't get any better, thanks BBC :')
Wow this has to be the best thing released this year
Why are Thom Yorke and his Radiohead genius musicians always able to create such amazingly simple but touching and original compositions. Most musicians only come up with the C F and G chord.. very talented bunch!
Can't even begin to describe what this does to me
Your image it´s really cool
Oh I just love this old child and his songs.
a child trying so hard to hang on to his innocence
@@xerotonin6776 why this makes me cry
I swear there's nothing as beautiful as Thom Yorke with a piano.
someone described radiohead as
highly unorthodox and hauntingly brilliant.
Beautiful
I want to live and die in his voice. Ugh, so goddamn gorgeous.
with my ears ensconced in my new beats 3
PURE GOLD.
Can't believe how everytime I hear any song by Thom, wether it be with Radiohead, solo, atoms for peace, etc I feel like they speak to me. I feel connected with everything he does. It's beautiful. I will forever thank Thom for creating beautiful music.
Ridiculous
So melodious, such peace in Yorke's voice. I'm 'daydreaming' again.
I don't see Thom singing, I see an angel singing.
Absolute living legend right there
Now, I think I have an ear and a heart for such serene poetry, such beauty, however, those devotees of such delight are becoming few and far between and I fear for music. Thom needs to keep churning out this kind of magic. It’s the only medicine, remedy and may I be so bold to say, antidote for the mindless drivel that is being forced upon us these days. Thom is a true genius, a visionary.
The most underrated musical genius of our generation.....
Andrew Craig How is Thom Yorke underrated? I love this guy, but come on, even my parents know him, and we're from Eastern Europe
Because most of our generations listen to shit. But this, is beautifully haunting. Masterpiece. Long live Thom, save our music generations from the darkness.
I am getting tired of people overused the word 'Under-rated' in any artists that had been sooooo long in creating and providing to save the world.
Yeah he’s just not mainstream. Definitely properly and deservedly rated highly.
Stunning.
Amazing....breathtaking
This is SO beautiful
Thom can to take you're soul somewhere else, and this is a gift very few artists are born with.
I feel chills in my whole body
I once was under depression, away from my wife, my two lovely kids and my family.. radiohead song help me alot.. Its safe my life from doing bad thing during my bad depression.. From metalhead... I was decide to settle down with radiohead... Perfect..
