Berklee College, Guitar Improv, Lesson 12, Improvise a Solo Over the Progressions for "Riviera Paradise.".
Assignment: Improve a solo over the backing track progression for "Riviera Paradise," demonstrating as many concepts of improvisation as possible, as discussed in this course. Try to incorporate pentatonic scales, modes, and arpeggios. Use various rhythmic devices (quarter, eighth, triplets, and sixteenth notes) in your solo. Be conscious of tone production, legato, and pick attack. Incorporate any other techniques of your choosing, and most importantly, be creative and be yourself. I want to hear what you have to say!
