Great illustration and explanation, thanks for your videos! I want to build a superinsulated shed roof with as few penetrations as possible. Do you have any ideas or details on on venting plumbing through an exterior wall instead of straight through the roof?

Ran into a 1950s home remodel situation where the plans called for connecting a kitchen sink to an existing 1½" clothes washer drain that also connects to an 1½" tub drain on the opposite side of the kitchen wall. The plans called for a garbage disposal and a dishwasher connected to the kitchen sink drain. The inspector said we can have either a garbage disposal, or a dishwasher, but not both because current code normally requires a 2" drain.

I like 2 inch for kitchen sink and even use it for lavatory sometimes. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Greg, do you have a private email I could write to you at? I’m trying to learn as much as I can about the steel square, I have some old out of print books on the tool, that really expound on its value, but i’m stuck. I think with your knowledge and computer aided skills, these old books could be unlocked (at least for some us) and brought back to life, thanks, John.
