    The man is just unfocussed and not present. That's what he meant by thinking. There is no past, just playing.

      I have the exact same issue. always focused on the map and calling out where the enemies are instead of focused on the cross hair.

    Great content on this channel for those trying to get better at CS2. One common thing I've noticed is that all the people being coached always seem to go into defensive mode when confronted about their bad habits, sometimes making nonsensical excuses. At first I thought pienix was a bit blunt, but he's actually chill and just wants to help people get better. I also like when he throws in complements to ease those bruised egos, like "nice kill here", "good job". If I ever paid for his training I'd just prepare for an ego beatdown and be like "Yes sir you are correct, how can I change/improve that, could you elaborate?" Pienix is a patient man lol. Don't be embarrassed about your bad habits (they're so common), it just means you can get even better once you fix them!

      He *could* be better at noticing when they get defensive. He is knowledgeable and patient, but the students do sometimes get it in their head that they are being attacked. That would be an excellent time to point out that the thing discussed is something they can and should change and not a part of their identity. Although I would not be surprised if this was something he tells them regularly beforehand.

      definitely. its a generational difference. young people now especially in NA would rather "learn" the game by watching a TenZ stream xD

    Thanks for posting your coaching sessions man. I've always struggled to do anything close to even a 1:1 K/D ratio in any FPS. But after watching your videos it really helped me understand what I was doing wrong for so long. After practicing good util, and correcting bad strategy I'm consistently playing much more effectively.
    My aim still needs serious work because I get hyped up sometimes and stop thinking, resulting in spray and pray situations lol.
    Not a competitive player, but it's nice to be able to play, do well and not get frustrated from getting rolled over. At least until someone with walls joins.

    This one is pretty painful to watch and listen to. Getting better at anything requires one to look inward and try to think about how you can be better. Makijng excuses and blaming others will keep you stuck.

    Hey pienix, great video as always! I have a small question: How do you counter, or at least deal with run and gun? Just commit to a full body spray? Improve tracking when the opponent has a higher speed? Thanks in advance! And keep up the amazing work :)

    • @pienixcs
      @pienixcs  26 дней назад +1

      You shoot them, hold your crosshair wider if you expect wild glock/mac-10 player running out

    • @matrix4627
      @matrix4627 26 дней назад

      @@pienixcs Okay so like, just use a wider crosshair placemente and then hit their body to make them slower and commit for the spray kill right? Thank you :)

  • @dancan8283

    I find it so funny when you ask them “why are you doing this?” they always try to justify what they were doing. Like holding somewhere their teammate has pushed i heard one guy you coached say “i don’t trust my teammates” 😂
    another thing too sometimes you ask “why are you doing this?” and they say “yeah i shouldn’t do that it was stupid” but no it was actually good and they had a good reason for it. But because they think you’re about to say it was bad they say that
    to be fair i think most of the time when you ask “why are you doing this?” a lot of them have no idea why. I just find it funny nobody says “i have no idea”

    • @pienixcs
      @pienixcs  19 дней назад +1

      Good point 🗝️
      Gamesense=decision making
      To get better at it you have to take conscious aware decisions and that's what players with less exp are missing
      I believe the question why repeated over and over will make my studen think about a reason for his actions ;)

    General Question:
    Should you have a Default Position you play on t like on ct and If so, should you play the Same position as on ct?
    on ct nuke I a play A Side. On T I go outside most of the time. Is this a Bad thing?

    Love these sessions and your advice, but this one was painful to listen to. I hope he improves and learns a few lessons here.
    It reminds me of when a child makes a mistake and they come up with every reason under the sun as to why it happened, no matter how ridicules the excuse sounds.

    Lots of excuses, not a lot of learning. I get tilted, it definitely makes me play worse. But it's hard to blame your teammates for the mistake of you being afk during pistol, afk during your buy after winning pistol, two of the most important rounds, and then despite being afk and coming in late, deciding to 3 stack a site that can be held by one person. Really a case of "do better". And round 2, the excuses just stack "it's hard to predict" bro, you can see your teammates on radar, and the enemies they see. You can see your teammate pushed all the way out of A main and saw nothing, your other teammate on A had the sense to check the stairs from mid, and you're standing there in a perfect position for a T to walk those stairs and pistol you to the head at point blank. The moment your teammate makes a big push out of the only approach to that site, you need to find a new angle. Bro is not serious, he's serious about OBS, he's serious about spending money on a knife, but he's not serious about having a minimum of gamesense, people play better than this stoned. If you can't even default on CT, you're just not being serious.
    "I don't wanna blame my team" yeah you do. The man is blaming his team when he's been afk every round at start. He's been out of position every round. He's not contributed to kills-however bad his teammates are (they're not that bad, some questionable buys but they back them up), he's not even done that. He's just gotten in the way of players who were actually contributing and then thrown them under the bus. The anxiety stuff I could forgive more if it weren't expressed toxically by blaming everyone else. People in general dislike the overly anxious. And the few who don't will despite anxious people who throw others under the bus to make up for their shortcomings. It's really as simple as focussing. Maybe you're worried about rent, maybe you're waiting for someone to text you back, maybe work is stressful. You do one of two things: you decide you can't let it go and maybe do something that isn't going to compound your stress, or you decide to do something fun that you are hoping to be good at that you can dedicate 100% of your attention to and distract yourself.
