Notice how he's playing with helping side on every shot. This is something that all the pros do, but a lot of amateurs don't even know about it. Playing with around half a tip of side, if it's a left cut, he puts on a trace of right spin, and the same for right cuts, a trace of left.
Really? It will be an ash cue, made by John Parris. If you noticed, he plays most of this practice screwing or stunning the cue ball, that does always sound higher pitched, as you're pushing it through the whole weight of the cue ball, whereas with top spin, or just plain ball you're just rolling the cue ball through rather than striking it low.
I knocked in a 108 on a lineup a couple of days ago and I’m not even in the same galaxy as Ronnie. This practice routine is fairly standard for any decent player

Just a question. What is "unbelievable" here on this video? That Ronnie can pot some balls from relatively easy positions? If yes... then I say very loud "woooooooooow". :) No.1 world ranking snooker player can pot balls!!
Better watch there is a nut case commenter here who won't like your comment or understand your humour. See one of the replies to my comment! 🤣 person calling me a clown for a bit of sarcasm
He has hundreds of 147's in practice. He's just warming up and getting used to the table. If he was fully locked in he probably be potting for hours without ever miss a pot
He's trying to work out the speed of the table the bounce of the coushins the nap of the cloth, there's a reason it's called practice, why would he stress about potting them all, I'll send you links to the 15 tournament 147s that he didn't miss a shot if you like
@@damiencrotty5508my comment was in response to the title. Nothing against Ronnie. All I was saying was this was nothing unbelievable for Ronnie or any professional snooker for that matter.
I think that's the general idea when practicing. If you aren't happy with the shot you just did, re-do it right away while you have a feel for what you did so you can correct it in the next attmot(s).
The facts is,Ronnie don't fucking care Who else in that hall, don't care of someone's take the video.this is not an exhibition match.you don't know what Ronnie thinking.. He's just make his practice look like a simple and chilled..he not took it like a serious routine.Only he know what he doing..what do you expecting in Ronnie training? show us his 147 break in solo practice?.so annoying!!
I also think he's the greatest. But have to admit he ran out of position quite a few times there, had a few recovery reds in the middle to get back to black and continue the bottom half of the reds. And the green to brown wasn't great either.... But I suppose that's what practice is for... I'd like to see him play this routine going first all reds below the pink with blacks and then all reds above the pink with blues.... Will be a little more challenging
What an exaggerated comment this is to make. There's nothing wrong with the camera at all plus it's a human being holding it, not a tripod.. what else did you expect? His cue action is smooth as silk. Thousands of hours of practice.

It’s the tight safeties and escapes that often deliver a frame winning chance.
And that is why the man is a legend. Didn’t settle for nothing less than perfect position no matter how many takes it takes.

He’s practising his positioning skills. No doubt he’s so good at clearing tables. 🎉
Weird thing to notice but who has shaved him? Ronnie hasn’t got a single hair on him he’s normally like chewbacca 😂

At some shots he pulls back the cue far, almost risking getting caught behind his thumb. But he is Gilbert O’Sullivan. He knows what he is doing 🤓
