This could be dancers who rework Bambie Thug’s choreography to allow sound and image technicians to make their final adjustments before the singer’s performance.
So, so much work went into this piece. You can see it even just from this barebones rehearsal.
Nice they used the audio from the performance in Irelands national final. So this is a rehearsal that had actors for the country Georgia that performed Irelands song as the winning song. Good choice if you ask me! I love that song!

It is amazing that they go to this level of detail in the "dry run". Wonder how they ended up picking this paricular song as the "winner".
I thought that these were done to finalize the camera work, but apparently not cause this isnt anything like how the cameras were at the performances

I never understood the purpose of these stand in rehearsals, like... What are they for? Are these people supposed to be their alternates in case the main artist can't perform or something like that? Im asking because even though it's not the case here, i've seen some stand in rehearsals where the actors actually do sing live as well
It's their way of doing sound check. You know how when you go to an actual concert and they sometimes might have the Roadies or technicians be on stage for the soundtrack instead of the musicians themselves? Well this is just kind of like that. The sound check to make sure the sound and everything else is in place and sounding right.
@@victoria7t Sorry but youre wrong, that doesnt make sense as the there are no live vocals being sung and why would there be none vocal "stand-ins" for a sound check. To me this is the "winnners" performance camera work check where they know what camera to use as there are no props on stage for the winners performance, hence the camera changes to the crowds etc...

A stand-in rehearsal to make sure that Lighting and Sound and everything is correct. When you go to a concert, sometimes during the sound check it's the Rudy's and the text that will be on stage during the checking of the lights and instruments.
This was the end of the Friday night jury grand final. They ran through the voting procedure, with fake votes, and Georgia "won". The delegations had disappeared straight after the interval acts and as soon as the back screen opened to show the green room. Someone still had to come on to "perform" the "winning song" and it did cause a little confusion at the time that the stand ins performed Doomsday Blue, and indeed that the graphics on the back wall simply stated "COUNTRY" - but hey. It's something we wouldn't otherwise have seen!
