Wow, one of the best episodes of FO! I attended Sunburn Martin Garrix in Kolkata and it was a crazy experience. So good to listen about the intricacies of the festival business from the one and only. Hope to see more of such episodes in the future. Why not try to bring an EDM Artist to one of the episodes of FO?
Bhai mereko lagta hai we should encourage Indian talents to make better music and try different genres and help them touring India and foreign instead of promoting much foreign tours
@@Eric.cartman7 nope US artists are famous around the world also many Spanish and Korean artists and now afro is going global too then why not Indian artists?

Insightful Podcast . I think the question on drug & overdose was sort of dodged nicely. Drugs is the dark side of all music festivals. Saying things like young crowd doesn’t consume them would be very foolish. I personally have been going to Goa for parties consistently 10 years. I have seen a lot of young people doing illicit substances. Some people handle them with finesse & some don’t. So saying that chemicals are not being sold or consumed in these festivals would be an understatement.
Very true... he is just hiding the truth of his music events where the drug abuse is even more than he cant even imagine... He tried his best to hide it...
I’m currently in event industry and this particular podcast helped me alot in many means as my end goal is to organise big corporate events and sunburn is always a company I wanted to work for and hopefully someday I will. But it helped me alot. Thank you for that 🙌🏻
In 2017 I have attended Sunburn Pune main edition. It was superb experience as a college student. I was alone at that festival but it was really a worth experience.

The podcast with Badshah was the first Raj Shamani podcast I watched. I've been going through his reels but it was the first podcast. And this being my 2nd.Enjoyed a lot. It was a very unusual genre to dive into. Looking forward to watch more🙂
Please create, this kind of content again on this topic. Might be with different questions and different speakers. Thank you so much, this video will going to help me allot in my future.🥰
Thanks for this! Always wondered how concerts work and how the economics have evolved over time. It’d be great to have BookMyShow’s CEO come and talk about how the concert industry has evolved over time. Also about why some of the biggest pop acts - like Billie Eilish, Harry styles, Coldplay etc have done an Asia tour but not added India. Is it simply a money issue or something else too?
I think it is more to do with not being aware of the fanbase. I think they still think that India is not developed enough or because not many artists are coming. For example, the Era's tour has 3 dates in Mexico and for Asia there is only Singapore.
@@santanu29 I think with the data they get now (like they spoke in the podcast) estimating interest won't be an issue. I think its a money thing. For example if Calvin Harris charges a million dollars a night, I'm sure Taylor would charge 2 minimum. If they're not confident of breaking even on a Calvin Harris concert, other bigger pop acts become out of question. Ultimately it seems like it comes down to India having a lower buying power parity. Another example was U2 - they said they wanted to bring the proper experience with their screens etc which is why it took so long to play in India. Chris Martin during global citizen also said production wise they've done the best they can (they didn't have wrist bands for that). So seems like its a money thing.
Please ask some relevant questions How was his early life How he started Sunburn Early challenges But overall it was good but it could have been very insightful with the answers of these questions😊
