Thank you for this video! I was able to fix it on the Right Rear side of my 05 Honda Pilot. It wasn't too hard since I had the help of 2 people with me. I'm glad I learned something on this and I saved myself some money. Only downside to this was working in the heat. 😂👍
I can't thank you enough! You saved me so much money. I'm a 38 year old woman and I was able to do this all on my own without my husband's help. You explained everything so well
Thank you so much for these easy to follow instructions! We ordered the part from you and came to the video as directed in the paperwork that arrived with the part. Thanks to those that mention cutting the cables if your window regulator is stuck and you can’t move it up to get to the bolts on the window. The cables are in cable housing similar to bike brake cables. Look for them… most easily accessible by removing the speaker. Cut them and you can now move the window up and down. This video is excellent too, thanks so much for making it. I’ve now done 3 regulators with this video.
Super helpful! Our window was stuck totally down and we couldn't raise it access the two bolts to disconnect it from the regulator. Something was getting caught inside the door panel so I ended up cutting one of the tension lines on the regulator I was going to replace, and then it all came out perfectly. Thank you!
This exact problem happened on the exact window. I bought this part from them and replaced my son’s window in 1.5 hours. Worked perfectly! Thanks for saying me $500 bucks!
I cannot thank you enough for your step by step instructions. I replaced my rear regulator all by myself and it works! I'm a single mom and need to pinch every dollar. You saved me!! God bless you!

When you said, "get the panel on the upper window ledge and push down"; it made all the difference in in my effort to replace the door panel. (I had been following a different tutorial that was equally helpful, but they did not go into detail on how to replace the door panel.) After watching your video, it was a cinch. Thank you.
I purchased the parts from A1 and installed in 1 he 20 min. I had to take the door panel off again because I had not screwed the window to the regulator when I inserted the 2 bolts. Easy fix and it works!! Thank you.
I watched your video and you made an overwhelming situation very easy to hey through. Your explanation was absolutely perfect and I was able to finish in no time. Thanks again!
Well, lo and behold I fixed it! I fixed my window regulator for my 2006 Honda Pilot. The cable was partially broken and it "munged up" the spool in the regulator causing the window to not work. Replacing with a new window regulator fixed it right up! I had first round 1aauto's other youtube video showing only how to remove a door panel to a 2006 Honda Pilot, so I did that first. Then I came back to youtube to look for another video with a search term of something like "power window broken honda pilot 2006" and I found the video here! Saved the day!

Thanks for the how-to and for the affordable part from 1AAUTO. Did the left rear on a 2004 Pilot with my adult daughter (her car, she has to help fix it). If the window has dropped it’s easy to reach in and push it up by hand into the right place to get the 2 bolts off the bottom of window bracket. Have someone hold it up or masking tape it up over the top of the door frame. After the bolts are out push the window all the way up and tape it there while taking the old part out and putting the new one in. After the new part is in temporarily plug in the window switch and raise the new regulator to line up those 2 holes again, untape the window and lower it gently onto the bracket, then put the 2 bolts in. A broken regulator lets you easily move the window by hand, a good one must be moved using the window switch with the key on. The door handle/rod clip is just a little tricky. Take a picture before you take it off so you can see the orientation. Everything else was just like the video. We unnecessarily removed the speaker and more of the plastic cover than needed before I tried pushing the window halfway up by hand. You can leave the plastic attached at the bottom and just stick to itself to keep it off the ground. You just need the plastic out of the way enough to get to bolts and uncover the big hole the part passes through. $60 part + 2 hours labor is awesome. Thank you 1AAUTO!

Great video! I encountered a problem due to my window binding up when I tried to raise it to line up the bolts through the holes. I eventually removed the speaker and saw a cable tightening up every time I tried to manually raise the window. I cut this cable, and then I was able to follow this video step by step.

+G Hill Thank you! We love empowering our customers and showing how to perform DIY auto repairs with our high-quality auto parts. 1aau.to/m/Shop-1AAuto-c
Just finished, and I got the regulator from 1A Auto. It took a little over 1.5 hours to install. Biggest problem was that the white waterproofing wouldn't stay on. I had to use some HVAC tape since my kids took and lost all of my duct tape. 2001 MDX
Did it myself as well. However with the 2 bottom bolts on broke motor I had to literally reach in an use a crescent wrench to loosen very slowly because I was unable to lift the glass to be completely above. Also I had to attach door window power with the basic power to the motor to get the window to work and then i was able to get those bottom 2 bolts in an opening in the door to tighten with my socket.
Nice clear video. I was able to replace my regulator without a hitch because of your detailed instructions. Window goes up and down just fine now and I'm only out $60; I didn't even check what the dealer wanted.
Great video, clear precise and detail enough for an amateur mechanic like myself to do the work. Would highly recommend this video. Thank you very much.

I didn't read through all the comments, and this may have already been suggested, but..... When installing the two screws that may be easily dropped down into the inside of the door, take a tiny bit of that sticky goo and stick it to the head of the bolt before pushing the socket onto it. That will hold the screw in the socket until the bolt is started. Don't put too much goo on, though, as that will cause the socket to separate from the extension when removing tools from the door. Hope this helps somebody.

One tip: if the moving guide on the rail of regulator is not aligned with the holes. You need to connect to button back and move the guide up/down to make sure it’s aligned with the holes. Then you can lock the window with the guide with screws.
Great instruction with a small oversight by 1A, namely, the two clamps that literally retain the window itself are accessible in the video ONLY because there is nothing actually wrong with the window regulator; that is, the window actually works. You are only removing and replacing the same Regulator for the sake of creating your wonderful video instructional. Because nothing is actually wrong with the Regulator in your video, the tech is able to "position" the window in such a way that the he can line up the holes in the door frame with the 2 screws that literally secure the bottom of the window to the claims that compress and hold it tight. The tech merely needs to slightly raise/lower the window until these holes line up with the screws. But you may or may not be able to do this if the regulator is actually broken. Fortunately, this is not a major problem. You'll need to do two things.. 1) Remove the speaker (very simple, 3 screws and 1 wiring clam) and use the vacated hole it creates to access the first of the window-bracket screws, left side, with a 10mm box end (or similar) 2) Similarly, then access the second window-bracket (right side) with the 10mm box end through the larger hole on the right. Other than this small detail, everything else in the video is wonderfully accurate and spot on. Agency wanted $300+ for 2 new Regulators that I needed (Driver side, front and passenger side, back) plus another $300 labor to install. OUCH. Got the 2 complete Regulators, complete w/motors from 1A for $118 total (included expedited shipping), with LIFETIME guarantee (you just have to return the core) and zipped through the installation as if I were a pro. Yes, the video is THAT good.

James Lacey my 2 claims are not holding tight the window.... it goes up ok but when I bring down the window stock up... what should I do in this case? Thank you for your help...
Thank you James for pointing that out! Many other videos from other sources had the same oversight. Either the regulator was not broken or the cable was snapped. Either one will allow the window to be moved to the correct position to get to the window screws.
Thanks for the Video. I have had to replace all four windows on our Pilot once, and the passenger front trice. Not at the same time, and spread over the last 14 years. It was great to have a refresher. Would you like to buy a car...........?

Thank you! This video saved me at least $250
Window goes up and down just fine now and I'm only out $60; I didn't even check what the dealer wanted.
soaringvulture 250-400 usually. For a dealer guess closer to the high side for most other shops it'll be mid to lower range usually
Great video, brother! Got it done with no problems! Thanks for posting!

I went to the dealer. $400 and I would have had to leave the car for the day. Watched your video - about an hour and $60 and it's fixed. Thanks!!

+Springer Pop Thanks for the tip!
Video was very helpful. I replaced two easily after watching this video. Thanks!!!!!

One tip: if the moving guide on the rail of regulator is not aligned with the holes. You need to connect to button back and move the guide up/down to make sure it’s aligned with the holes. Then you can lock the window with the guide with screws.
awesome video. thank you very much for your help. couldn't have done it without 1A Auto.
+Kevin Mullins You're welcome, Kevin, glad we could help! 1aauto.com
Great tutorial! I finished the entire job in under an hour and it works great! A++++++
thanks for the video, my repair went like a breeze

Perfect video, thankyou for the help!
Thanks for the Video. I have had to replace all four windows on our Pilot once, and the passenger front trice. Not at the same time, and spread over the last 14 years. It was great to have a refresher. Would you like to buy a car...........?
How did you remove and replace the glass?
Thanks, very helpful video! Well done!
This was SUPER helpful. Thank you! Couldn’t have made the job go any easier. I had the old one out and the new one in and working like new in about 30 minutes. Well done.
