🤣🤣🤣 You guys are always my delight. Aw, Ediz. Your poor flightless ducks. How are they going to migrate? Ben, my gorgeous lad. Loving the buzz cut these days. Your piercing eyes really shine. 😍🤩😍🤩
Arius! Far too find sir 😅 but Thankyou, I’m secretly liking the buzz cut too 😂 And as for the ducks, clearly they waddle to other countries to migrate! 😅😂😂 Thanks for commenting ✌️☺️
Yes Brazil!!! Love that we have subscribers from all around the world! Is Saludos Amigos popular in Brazil? I’m guessing not any more, but had you at least heard of it before?? In Europe only the most die hard Disney fans know it. 😂
@@EdizAndBen Actually it isn't! It's just as unknown as the other movies from this era. I've heard of it and I watched it a couple of years ago because I intended to watch all the Disney classics. So it's pretty much the same as in Europe, I suppose. The character of Zé Carioca, however, is still well known in Brazil. Or at least his image is! 💚
@@EdizAndBen Heya. Also Brazilian and from Rio de Janeiro actualy. Ive grew up whatching Have you gone to Bahia and Im aware of Saludos amigos. At least were Im from or in my social circle. Ahh, that sucks, so sorry to hear that Alexander… Pleased we could help in our own way and hope brighter days are ahead 🙏🙏🙏 Always lovely to see a comment from you so thank you!! 🙌
"The traveler should be cautioned against any reckless behavior at this high altitude. Overexertion is dangerous. And above all, one should never lose one's temper." "Shut up, you big windbag!" Fun Fact: This was the first Disney Animated feature to be shown in South America before it was screened in the USA. Animated Diplomacy Fact: This movie and superior The Three Caballeros (1944) were created by Disney in order to improve the United States of America's relations with South American countries during World War II. High Impact Fact: While the film's animated sequences were well-received at the time and still have a decent reputation, film historians have suggested that it was the film's live-action documentary sequences which had the most impact on American culture. They featuring footage of modern Latin American cities with skyscrapers and fashionably dressed residents. This went against the then-current perception of the American audience that Latin America was a culturally backwards area, predominately rural, and mostly inhabited by poorly-dressed peasants. The film is credited with helping change the American perception of Latin America and its inhabitants.
Great facts! I tried to find pictures or video from the premiere in Brazil, but I’m not sure if any exist unfortunately… Thanks for commenting, “you big windbag!” 😂
great reaction! i agree with ediz, pedro the plane needs more merch!!! The movie itself was intereasting but mainly the context behind its creation i found the different segments and narrations quite interesting! Great reaction as always ! ♥
I've been waiting for Saludos Amigos for a while, on your Disney adventures, and I was delighted to see this pop up! This is a weird little item, isn't it? The "documentary" part (so much of it clearly staged), and then the short animated bits. And there's a lot of calling South American things "strange" and "exotic"... but I dare say that was received as a compliment at the time. At 42 minutes, it must be one of the shortest feature films ever! The industry standard for minimum allowable time is 40 minutes. Looking forward to The Three Caballeros and onward! Will you be able to get hold of the uncut Make Make Music? Even the cut version isn't on Disney Plus
The shots of them getting onto the plane at the start of the movie were actually filmed after they’d got back to the US, so yes, definitely staged 😂 Have you seen the documentary Walt & El Grupo?? It was interesting, but a little slow and long! A 2 hour documentary on the making of a 42 minute movie 😅 And as the cool teenager I was, I bought Make Mine Music on DVD 😂 Never realised it would be controversial enough to be banned from Disney Plus, so very excited to revisit that one! Pretty sure it has the cut section on the UK DVD so we are all good!! ✌️☺️
@@EdizAndBen Bravo! I just checked and yes, if you bought the DVD after 2013, it is complete! We can't even buy it complete in the US (though I could order it from the UK, I have an all-format/region player). I have an ancient VHS tape of it complete, before anybody decided that children ought to be protected from seeing cartoon people shoot each other. It is the ONLY Disney Animated Classic not available on Disney Plus! Anyway, you are prepared. You are The Man!!
I was so perplexed when I saw it wasn’t on there, and then when I found out that was the reason, I was even more perplexed… but we will discuss when we get to it 😂 I almost got rid of my dvd collection when I moved house so I’m now very pleased that I kept the Disney ones 🙌
Hey Ben, Shaved head actually really suits you! Mines been thinning for years and im about to do the same... im less hopeful that mine will grow back 😂
Hey Rob, thanks buddy. I’ve always thought I would look like ET with a shaved head but I actually don’t hate it like I thought I would! Also… a lot quicker to get ready before I go out 😂 I’m sure it will suit you too!! 🙌
I can't wait to see The Three Caballeros react! Mal posso esperar para ver a reação de Você Já Foi A Bahia! ¡No puedo esperar a ver reaccionar a Los Tres Caballeros! Is my favorite Disney Movie!
Hey guys are you not aware of “Victory Through Air Power”? Its presenter was live-action but the bulk of the film was animated - you guys need to watch it.
Highly recommend the following animated movies: Wizards (1977) The Hobbit (1977) Heavy Metal (1981) The Last Unicorn (1982) The Flight Of Dragons (1982) All five are available on RUclips Movies channel to rent or buy, so no excuses about finding them. I suggest turning on subtitles, since you might have mute all the music.
I remember watching The Hobbit as a kid when the Peter Jackson LoTR came out and I didn’t like it. Thought it was creepy! 😅 Maybe I should give it another try! Thanks for the suggestions 🙌

Actually Wilfred wasn’t one of the nine old men. They were: 1. Frank Thomas, 2. Ollie Johnston, 3. Milt Kahl, 4. Marc Davis, 5. Wolfgang (Wollie) Reitherman who you probably were mixing up, 6. John Lounsbery, 7. Eric Larson, 8. Ward Kimball, And 9. Les Clark Also this film was nominated for Three Oscars and the narrator is the same man who was the voice of Bambi’s father.
Of course he’s not… 🤦♂️ I feel ashamed! He seems to come up a lot when discussing animators from this time period which is where I must have got confused! Thanks for the correction and for listing them all… perhaps I was thinking of Wolfgang… another unforgettable name!
I’m surprised it was nominated for three Oscar’s! Just checked and it was for best sound recording, best score and best song with the title song “Saludos Amigos” which has been stuck in my head since watching this! 😂 Thanks for commenting! 🙌

The package movies is a close worst era of my opinion and it was the when WW2 was around that of course Walt Disney can't make a length feature films in that time since they were cost a lot of money and can't wait for the other 5 movies reactions and thank you so much it was a pretty fun movie reaction🙏😄
Yes, I’m pretty sure everyone would rank this as the worst era 😅 So we are going to try to wizz through them nice and quick! Thanks for commenting Johnny!!
Did you know the background music you use is Mariah Carey? Also, Germany attacked Brazilian ships or subs, idk, and THEN they joined the war. Brazil liberated parts of Italy, mainly.
People should talk a bit more about the issue the movies kinda brought. Im not saying their bad, I personaly love these movies. But Brazil grew a trend of trying to imitate america, is a bit sad. But hey, Zé Carioca is in the cover, so it cant go bellow a 5/10 in my book XD
I gotta admit, this is the worst Disney era, in fact these movies are the worst Disney animated classics, the only two ones that I think are worst that this are Chicken Little and Home on the Range. But, these are all in the bottom 10, and they're worst than Dinosaur, Black Cauldron and Brother Bear. Except Ichabod Crane and Mr. Toad wasn't as bad, of course that one still got below average, but sadly enough the rest of the 5 are terrible whereas, Ichabod and Mr. Toad was just bad.
Bonus Fun Fact: Saludos Amigos is officially the shortest movie in the Disney Classic line up. It's only 42 minutes long!! 😱
That's crazy I didn't know that it was that short I thought dumbo was the shortest movie😧
Please tell me his still getting roasted for saying ducks don't fly

They should add a modern introduction to these movies for Disney Plus. Because without context I’m sure most people would switch off 😅
@@EdizAndBen thats a great idea! It would really help for those unfamiliar with this and the other package era films!
Pedro the Plane is so adorable! Definitely up there with Bambi and Jumbo Jr as one of the cutest animated characters!
At least we saw him in Once Upon A Studio!
BTW Brazilians speak Portuguese not Spanish.
That plane named Pedro I've seen that plane before but I can't remember where I seen it from.
I just realize who it is you remind me of. A young version of the director John Waters.
Ok, he’s pretty iconic so I’ll take that 😅

You should react to The Three Caballeros.
They deliberately arranged the shorts so the best one would go last, instead of in the order that they actually travelled around South America.
