    I watch a TON of notebook review videos and WOW, this is BY FAR the most thorough and well thought out that I have seen. BRAVO!

    Try "Archer and Olive." You will fall in LOVE!!!! 160 gsm, in crispwhite. I'm a journal junkie. No body and beat "Archer and Olive."

      It will be my next notebook, I already ordered it! 😄 I have very high hopes, but the prize to Finland was quite ridiculous... 😅

      elwynbrooks .......now they are getting a lot of attention. Especially because their gsm is so high. I use watercolor, ink, water bast markers, ancho markers. Literally nothing bleeds thru. They are really worth the worth the money. I have three journals and I'm currently using the blackout B5. Love it.

    One thing that the LT did not have was a pen/pencil holder. I like to take my journal with me so that was a definite disadvantage. I have just finished my LT and I will be going to Dingbat. After that, I think I might try Archer and Olive although it is really price-prohibitive for me.

    Your journals are just beautiful! You inspire me to want to try and do the same thing, I just don’t see the use so i instead will use mine as a normal journal for writing and just random sketching if the mood strikes. I’m learning new pen and ink techniques and trying to expand my out from calligraphy to begin making full projects

      Thank you so much, I'm so happy to hear you're enjoying journaling and learning new techniques! 😍 The beauty of a bullet journal is that everyone can do it their own way and use it for whatever it is you want to improve in your life! ☺️

    This was very helpful! I am thinking of purchasing the Archer and Olive notebook but I just went back to the Leuchtturm. The Lemome is my favorite for the paper thickness. Thanks for sharing!!

    I was just gonna suggest Archer and Olive until I saw you mention it at the end! Everyone I’ve seen use it thinks it’s amazing. The paper is really bright and thick!

      I have so high hopes for it! The only negative point is that it costs an arm and a leg, especially to ship to Finland... 😅 But I'm excited to see if it's worth the extra money ☺️

    For Archer and Olive notebooks it can hold pretty all of the mediums and you won't see much ghosting. I owned a few and I am quite impress.

    There is this bullet journal company called Archer & Olive, and they have AMAZING paper (160 gsm!!) They can definitely handle watercolor but they are a little been on the expensive size... (30ish bucks). Totally worth it though!

    • @JournalAway
      @JournalAway  4 года назад +1

      Funnily enough I'm actually currently using their notebook! 😄 I agree it's such an amazing notebook, there's absolutely no ghosting and the paper is beautifully white. It does handle watercolors okay in my opinion, but for someone used to actual watercolor paper, I sometimes can use a little bit too much water and create a mess 😂
      Anyway, super good recommendation, thank you for sharing that! ☺️

    I would love a square bullet journal, like a 9x9 or 10x10 with dotted pages. That's definitely my dream bujo. Does anyone know of a place where you can get square dotted notebooks? Or even a site where you can make custom books to fit your specs?

    • @JournalAway
      @JournalAway  5 лет назад +2

      That sounds like an interesting idea! I have never seen one though... If I remember correctly, MyLifeInABullet has a video of how to DIY a notebook so that might be one option. At least you'd get the exact shape and size you want. ☺️

    I'm using a moleskine a5 right now, and at first the ghosting drove me NUTS. I couldn't focus on writing anything on one page because I could see too much from the one before it. these journals were my first experience with a dot grid too, and it was really jarring. but even though I've grown to love my journals in the 8 months I've been using this brand, I have wanted to branch out a little. my only concern is that I can't seem to fit the entire year in them; 200 pages just isn't enough for me! I might have to go back to moleskine and try their expanded journal for 2020. it has 400 pages and i'm already really eager to buy it so I can start filling it up lol. but if that doesn't work out I guess i'll try the leuchtturm?? that seems to be everyone's go-to.

    • @oh-no-plz-no2299
      @oh-no-plz-no2299 5 лет назад

      I love my leuchtturm! I didn't bujo much last year (I got pretty sick), so I only filled up about half, and am using the other half for this year. It might be able to make it through 2 years!! (I've counted the pages and if I don't make too many extra one off pages, it should just fit!)

    • @JournalAway
      @JournalAway  5 лет назад

      This was my problem first too! But I solved it by only using one journal for half a year before I switch to a new one. 😄 It's nice update for the yearly pages as well. I need more than ~200 pages for the whole year and I can't stand the idea of changing on a random month 🤣

      moleskine was my first journal and oh my god, i hated the ghosting so much. i swear i'm never going to buy it again. however, after moleskine a bought dingbats and i can't be happier! a love that journal so much and i'm definitely gonna buy it again.

      Leuchterm is too expensive for 80 gsm paper. Dingbats or Scribbles that Matter are way better options.

    • @estherdarling6509
      @estherdarling6509 4 года назад

      I think I’m too late to stop you but I just bought the expanded for the extra paper and the ghosting is HORRIFIC. The paper is like tracing paper it’s that thin 😩

    Is the color of pages bit yellowish as opposed to white? I really like bullet journal with such page color (bit yellowish).

    • @JournalAway
      @JournalAway  Год назад +1

      Yes, this brand has a more yellowish/ivory colored paper! 😊

    Uh... my Dingbats measurments (the dots in the page) are actually 29x40, I have the Grey Elephant A5+ dotted. I’m confused 😂

    • @JournalAway
      @JournalAway  3 года назад +2

      Ahhh you're right! I don't know if I managed to calculate them wrong or forget to change the numbers while editing, but 29x40 is correct! 🙈 I'm sorry if this has caused any confusion!

    • @waltz9230
      @waltz9230 3 года назад +2

      @@JournalAway Haha it’s okay. The one thing that genuinely bothers me a lot about the Dingbats journal is that the perforations cross over the first column of dots rather than being closer to the spine and out of the way, I don’t understand why they did this, any thoughts?
