I really made a good choice, next year I'm gonna be studying radiography at UJ, i am so excited this is the best advice I have heard, this is everything I need
I love this so much for you! I’m so glad you already know you made a good choice! Have the best time and go out there and be AMAZING!🥰🥰🥰✨ Thank you for watching!🙏🏾🙏🏾
When it comes to salaries it would be nice for people to give a range, just say for example, between 200k-300k for 1-2 years experience, there’s a lot of resources online about salaries but some websites don’t take experience into account so one site will say 250k pa and another will say 400k pa. It would be nice for your guests to give ranges. It’s just nice when it comes from a real person and not just from internet estimates
Hi, did you manage finding any sonography video, because I still cant😂, and I have no idea whether I should just study a batchelors degree or associates degree
@@aishaabdu5101 no i didn't 😭 but I'm doing my first year in ultrasound this year and I'd advise you to go with the bachelor's degree 🙂 because the associates one has been canceled in universities
@@onyinyeiwenofu5007 I heard that colleges only offer the associates degree. Also I've heard that at the end of the day wether you get an associate's degree or bachelor's degree it's all the same, you just need to be registered BUT those were video I watched of people in the USA. Idk if it works the same here😂 there's no information at all. Also what were the requirements to get into sonography and at where do you study?
@@aishaabdu5101 it unfortunately doesn't work the same here because no colleges offer sonography in SA afs far as i know. Also, only UJ offers sonography as an undergraduate degree, the rest offer it as a post graduate degree (if they offer it at all). You need 50% in mathematics, physical science and english and 60% in life sciences. I study at UJ
Make sure you perfect radiography which means giving up on centring points and use collimation instead. Here is an example of what can be achieved with cervical spine. ruclips.net/video/ZcvH11MfgUo/видео.html Here is a video about the geometry error that needs correcting after a century of mistakes. ruclips.net/video/mZPD_gLs5Dw/видео.html
What are you studying at UFS? If you have the required subjects from matric then it's possible, especially if what you are studying now at UFS is related to science/health. CUT has BRad too.
@@anathimfenyana7607 I am studying education, I have physical science and maths but not life science however my Aps is 40 Isn't CUT only offering a diploma
Some provinces, eg Western Cape have provincial bursaries that cater for Health Sciences Qualifications including radiography. There are private practices that offer bursaries and require you to do your clinicals (while studying) at their practices, and work for them after community service (as a way to pay off the "bursary")
1. Honours and masters are not just for ppl that who are academic. Field Radiographers do those degrees too. 2. don't feel ur guests is well informed in the requirements for Radiography. For example NMU in EC does accept maths lit. 3. Maths is a requirement in most Healthcare careers because the ability to do high school maths demonstrates that and individual is a critical thinker. 4. Private sector and public sector are very different, in terms of work load, views n service standards. Eg. in public u do two views for lower back pain, private it's 4 to 6 views. As a radiographer myself I don't feel ur guest was experienced enough or researched enough to give accurate information. Maybe next time give her ur questions the questions ahead of the interview so they can do an little research. There so many exciting opportunities in Radiography. N to run ur own Radiography business u don't need to buy ur own equipment. Eg. Cathelab radiographers. But thank you for shining a light on a very unrecognized profession.

Is it possible to get admitted to study radiography with 30 points???
Download prospectuses, I suppose it varies from institution to institution, and how their point system works.

Yes
