Hi! I am traveling to Bali soon, just wanted to know why did you have to get your bags in Singapore? Usually with a layover you don't have to get your bags, you only get them at your final destination? Or does it work differently when traveling to Bali?

It depends on your flight itinerary. If your flights are with different airlines, then you have to get your bags during a layover. In our case, we were transferring from Singapore airline to Ethiopian airlines. If it was Singapore to Singapore then there wouldn’t be a need to take the bags… Hope that makes sense.
