Here is a good use for the iced coffees: Pour it into ice trays and freeze. Pour your hot coffee over. Boom. Sugar, creamer, and ice without watering down your iced coffee. Yum!
I've become such an iced coffee freak this last year. Recovering from broken femur and hubs is a great barista. If I can find smaller ice trays will try this. Anemic so eating ice is very strong craving
A dietician online recommended blending white beans with tomato soup in the can to increase the protein and nutrition in canned tomato soup. I thought that was genius. You could do a 1/2 of the soup and add a can of white bean purée.
Yes! I do this with my tomato soup. It makes it more nutritious, more filling, and gives a creamy consistency without needing to add fat in the form of cream.
Add a little Indian spices, chunked chicken...you might have a passable "Butter Chicken"...just check out ingredients...this would sub for a bunch of them and with the red peppers...add a little different flavor while staying whole
Thank you for that great idea❤. I love tomato soup and it would be super easy to take the blended beans to work to make tomato soup for my lunch. As a nurse, I do t really get a lunch break? You just graze when you can!😊
I followed quite a few people with budget/frugal channels Rebecca is the most consistent, least respective, really cares about her content. I hope YT is financially beneficial for you, I mean that sincerely. I appreciate you, Rebecca & would be sad if you stopped your channel
Rebecca…If you don’t want the small cake to go to waste, you could break it up in more pieces than it already is 😅, make a box of pudding, and use some whipped topping and make a little trifle dessert with it!
I love using cakes like that (or just any stale cake) as a base, bake a slice for a few minutes until it’s crisp, add some warm cooked peaches on top and vanilla ice cream. It’s so good! i might have to make that tomorrow 😅
I'm glad I watched the pre update video, I'm a longtime watcher from your old dollar tree content even though I'm in Australia, and cannot exactly replicate it, but I do try to! if not in price it does give me ideas, and I'm often in a rut for food ideas which is why I like your easy going format.
You are a blessing for young families who are trying to cook tasty food on a budget. A lot of money can be saved shopping at Dollar Tree and Dollar General.
If you use 2 boxes of that pasta salad, the extra seasoning packet can be used for a breading or seasoning for chicken. Example is your chicken alfredo bake! I been hooked on that one and have it once to twice every week if we leave left overs ; )
I bought the Pacific creamy tomato soup at Dollar Tree. It was very thick. I thinned it with tomato juice. It's really delicious and way less expensive.
I've bought the Pacific soup carton A LOT because it's a great base for a very good, rich, filling, and warming soup in the cold weather! It's at Dollar Tree now? I'm gonna go and get like 5 or 6 cartons of it and that should hold us most of the winter! I put in the soup and then I put a can of veg broth (for vegan soup but you can obviously use whatever broth you want) and shake it up to get all the rest of the stuff in the carton plus it's a bit thinner but still amazing. I use carrots, potato, onion, mushroom, celery, and peas and that makes a pretty delicious minestrone soup! However my secret is to add the peas to your bowl of the soup, do not cook them in with the soup. (Frozen peas, not canned peas) When you put them in your bowl frozen (slightly thawed) they cool off the soup so you can eat it faster (always good) and they just POP when you bite down on them! They're just amazing like that! I do that with everything I use froze peas in! But this being at dollar tree is amazing!!! It's usually 5 or 6 bucks at the regular grocery store in the Chicago 'burbs where I'm at!
I would possibly add canned chicken or tuna to the pasta salad both to take up some of the soupy dressing and to make it more of a main dish instead of a side. Black beans would also be a good add in. I've seen that soup at Walmart and wondered if it was good. Walmart also has a butternut squash soup in a box that sounds interesting. Great new series. Looking forward to more Dollar Tree food reviews.
Yay! So glad to see the Dollar Tree Dinners cooking content back focused on actual Dollar Tree products. I really enjoy your channel and have saved your “recipes” and make them often. As a single, I especially appreciate meals for one.
I like to mash then freeze fresh avocado in small containers when they're in season. Then I just defrost one in the winter for my avocado toast. No difference in taste. I do add a bit of lemon juice to keep the bright color but others have said that lemon juice is not necessary.
That is good soup! I serve it with “grownup” grilled cheese. Which is sourdough bread, a mix of havarti/gruyere cheeses and caramelized onion. I have also added sautéed shrooms.
I buy those salads from the dollar tree because they are the perfect portion for my husband's lunch. But recently found the dollar store brand and me personally, I liked the dollar store brand better. I always add cherry tomatoes, cucumber and chicken. It's delicious.
I have purchased marble cake similar to yours at Family Dollar. I find that if you refrigerate it first, it seems to hold up a bit better. I have found that those cakes seem to taste best with a cup of coffee or tea; at least for me.
I love your videos. You are so sensible. I feel bad that I have a freezer, fridge, pantry full of food and cannot create a meal the way you can with limited ingredients. You inspire me!
I love the Pacific Pepper Tomato soup and finally found it again today at Costco (must be a fall/winter thing) where I always thought i must be getting a good deal!! $14.69 for 6 boxes, which is 2.45/box. It expires just a month after yours, March 2025. I actually enjoy this soup cold, with some chopped veggies stirred in for an easy gazpacho. And you are right, it's also good hot with grilled cheese sandwiches, again you can add extra veggies for even more fiber and nutrition. One more tip, you can freeze the box with any you don't use.
Hi - that Pacific brand is great. They also make a "low salt" tomato soup that I order from Amazon and It is $4.80/ctn but it is the best low sodium soup I have found. Again, a great deal at $1.25. I would buy 5-6 of them...
I usually add more to box meals (rice, pasta) to stretch it. I like to see videos like your because going to the comments you get so many ideas you never thought of. Thank you! I love your channel.
No soup at one of the 3 in my neighborhood, but best believe I’ll be checking back! New to me: Sazon seasoning Crispy jalapeño strips Tri-color tortilla strips Jalapeño slices Cherry pie filling Worcestershire sauce Stocked up on favs: Raspberry preserves Shelf stable whole milk Pillsbury sugar cookie mix Thank you for keeping us all in the loop Rebecca!
I love the soup I've cooked it down a bit thicker and used it over spaghetti as a pasta sauce I've also kept it more like soup and put it over rice and added some bits more smoked sausage
I discovered those coffees a few weeks ago and love them! We only have the mocha and vanilla at our local store, but both are quite tasty. I keep a few on hand for those times when I forget to make a batch of cold brew coffee at the right time.
Omg the marble cake unlocked a memory I didn’t know I had! When I was in the army we’d get donations around the holidays, and always got those type of cakes. One time the box was half empty and some people didn’t get any, but we didn’t think too much of it and moved on. A few weeks later my room had ants and the maintenance department ran a surprise inspection and made us stand at our lockers and empty them one by one. One of the girls had STACKED her entire locker with those cakes. And the kicker was, she was RICH! She bought commissary every single day and never ate the dining hall food, but when we’d all pitch in for a family meal from commissary, she’d always decline and say she wasn’t hungry. Then, she would hang around and ask us questions about what we got so we’d feel bad and invite her to eat with us. She was a nice girl but definitely something!
I know it’s been said but please just keep doing what you do, and trust your judgement. Even if it’s not the super specific “dollar tree dinners” exactly it’s all filling a space that always needs more content. I’m no newbie to cooking, budgeting, etc but I always could use more inspiration; and what’s *actually* a good deal changes pretty frequently. It’s good to keep up on it all in general.
I absolutely love the suddenly salad mixes from dollar tree I usually mix mines with chicken, red onions and sometimes shredded cheese I like the little vegetables that have in there 😋
I like, the Italian pasta salad they make, and, make the kind they no longer sell in the deli and, make a Greek version but, you just don’t put meat in it! 6:01
I use a lot of products from Dollar tree that are made in Turkey as well as at the Dollar general.... I have been satisfied with the lack of artificial flavors etc and the quality has been good.
Love your channel. Checking out the new Dollar Tree items was fun. You look so pretty, your hair blends perfectly with your cabinets. Green is your color. Thanks for another helpful upload.
I usually don’t comment in videos but I just want to congratulate you for all the effort you’ve put into this channel, I started watching your videos when you only had 1,000 subscribers and i said to myself “i hope she doesn’t quit her channel because this videos are really good” and look how far you’ve gone ❤ (I’m sorry for my grammar English is not my first language)
You're right there must be an overstock with that soup.. they have it at Grocery Outlet too for $1.99.. Its so good.. I have about 6 of them in my pantry 😂
Great finds at your Dollar Tree. The guac mix is usually $4.50 at my local grocery store. And any of those Pacific Foods organic soups at my local grocery store are $5.99. I love the butternut squash one and the tomato roasted red pepper one.
You should tried a bit of that jalapeno sauce in that pasta salad. You said the jalapeno sauce tasted like spicy relish, and relish goes well with mayonnaise. I don't know
I always have suddenly salad the Italian style in my pantry also I use the dupe at winco. I add the extra pasta to it and vegetables that need to get used before they go bad, throw some pepperoni and call it dinner. Yes the extra pasta keeps the salt factor down they are all a little heavy handed in that department. Thanks Again. 😊
I love rotini pasta salad. I buy a box of the different colors rotini at Walmart for under a dollar ( it's a good size box) and mix it with some Kraft Poppy seed salad dressing. Add what ever you like ( tomato, cheese, egg, and small pepperoni slices from Dollar Tree). Delicious!!
Even with the name brand pasta salads, I like to add flavored tuna chicken, deli meat, cucumber, olives, tomatoes, and/or onion depending on what flavor the salad is. Today, I went to a new to me Dollar 25 Tree & found canned chicken breast in gravy. I'm going to use it over the microwavable chicken rice with a can of green beans for a side or mixed in for a bowl situation. Cheap meal, and I'll probably have enough for 2 meals because I felt like 1 can of the chicken wasn't enough for 1 rice packet. I know when I use 1 of their microwavable rice packets with a can of black beans, that's 2 meals for me. It's to hot in Texas(102°F real feel 106°F) to cook on the stove so everything is microwave cooking for a while. Our ACs are already overworked without the extra heat from cooking.
The bacon ranch Suddenly Salad is the only one my mom ever made when I was a kid. I've tried the rest but that's the one that has the nostalgia factor. I like to add extra bacon bits and finely chopped broccoli, and I'll use more mayo and garlic powder so it's not too dry with the add ins.
Try to add just straight black coffee to make it a little darker and and not so sweet ik this dollar tree video but if you drink it often I would do that just a suggestion
Thank you for showing the ingredients! I have diet restrictions, so seeing the ingredients label is so helpful to see if it’s worth a trip to dollar tree ❤
I really enjoy your food reviews! I got the Suddenly Salad Classic in the smaller size box at Dollar tree this past Spring. It was awful. No small black olives and red pimentos like there used to be. I called the company to learn that "Suddenly Salad" brand was sold, no longer a Betty Crocker brand... even though the box still said Betty Crocker on the front
Breakfast burritos are what we eat almost every day and I've used this on mine and it was ok. I found the bottle didn't really squeeze, so I just took off the top and used a spoon. Your burrito sounds similar to mine. I do sausage, bacon, ham, cheese, hash browns, and jalapeños. I make up huge batches of 40 or so and freeze them.
It is a lot. I throw an extra handful of whatever pasta i have open to with the stuff in the box then add s0me veggies it is easy to stretch to a dinner side dish 4 to 6 servings
The jalapeño sauce is also good on middle eastern foods! Ive only ever seen it at middle eastern grocery stores 😊 so that’s nice that dollar tree has it!
Hello REbecca, for the suddenly salad type things, I don't add the mayo as instructed but probably more so because I like it a bit dryer and less mayonaisey. So I just add and don't measure. Just what feels right. If you do the caesar one and make it creamy with the mayo, i add black olives, feta, steamed broccoli, red onions, and things to make it more like a greek salad but make it caesar.
I make the suddenly salad traditional Italian one all the time and also find that to be "too saucy" I always double the rotini for that as well - which is helpful! Double the serving for one seasoning pack. I also add chopped bell peppers to nake it taste a bit more "homemade"/fresh 😁
That Roasted Red Pepper and Tomato soup is our favorite and that price is amazing! If you see the Butternut Squash soup by the same brand, it is great also. Thanks for the fun video!
@@RachaelGenX We almost always have it in my town. But the next town over never has it. I live in Indiana. I could always send ya some if ya want. I usually get like 7 at a time.
Picked up the Pacific Foods Thai sweet potato soup today. Still on the lookout for the red pepper & tomato and the butternut squash! Restock items for the pantry: Martha White muffin mix (the chocolate chip and the banana nut$ Betty Crocker chocolate chip cookie mix Wonton strips Black pitted olives Baking powder Thai Sriracha hot sauce Whole Kosher dill pickles Strawberry preserves Thank you Rebecca! Did a comparison to Walmart. Surprisingly, the Martha White mixes are slightly less expensive at Walmart. The cookie mix is a larger size at Walmart, but ounce for ounce similar price. The soup isn’t available in store, but Amazon sells it for $2.50 per can Pickles & olives are nearly double on price at Walmart Same for the GV strawberry preserves. The wonton strips are more expensive at Walmart The sriracha is difficult to compare ounce for ounce, based on flavor preferences
With the suddenly salads i like to add lots of chopped veggies, cucumber, zucchini, bell pepper, green onion, black olives, celery etc. Tuna or chopped chicken and sometimes chopped apple. Really bulks out the salad and makes a full meal in one dish.
Hi Rebecca and Dollar-Tree-Huggers, if the coffee is too milky give it the taste taste, then mix in a bit of your own black coffee to 'repair' it (it will also make it less sweet). I rarely have something premade, as is. I didn't know Palermo moved to Turkey ..... nyuk nyuk nyuk In NJ we say en-teh-MINS. it's a german name that means Duck-Man! 🦆 The Ducking American in Mexico Jim
I did enjoy the video, thanks. One time I found a ketchup called G. Hughes sugar free. One of the best ketchups I had ever had. I went back to get someone and they didn't have it, but did start selling it at Food Lion at a much higher cost. Yes, I bought it.
When I was young I would make a marble cake from a vanilla and a chocolate jiffy cake. Then I would top it with peanut butter. I was young broke and had no cooking skills.
Thank you for doing this and making content that you like! You're doing amazing work. I really appreciate that you did this comparison (and will continue to do so). Comparing prices and the amount you get per/oz. is a really important thing to show consumers as sometimes something that is cheap is not always the best bargain. Showing people how to shop for the best bang for their buck is so important, especially with how pricey groceries are these days. Your input into the quality of the products is also so helpful, too! Sometimes taste cannot be sacrificed, so you giving us the price, taste, and efficiency information between two major stores is invaluable.
That is my favorite grocery store soup! The texture while pouring is how it is no matter how much you shake it lol. Thats a great deal at the dollar store!
I enjoyed this, very helpful for deciding whether or not to try some of dollar tree’s food items. I’ve had some hits from there and quite a few misses. I got some little cookie packets like for lunch boxes and no, they were not good.
I’m wishing you the best in your efforts to move to beautiful Washington! Also, why not do some countertop cooking during your travels? Might be fun to make “camping” videos.
Thank you for the price comparison and taste testing. I was going to get the Victor Allen coffee yesterday but ended up putting the cans back. Now I am going to buy several of them tomorrow. This video was really helpful.
Thank you! Very interested in the jalapeno sauce and maybe those coffees but I couldn't drink one whole can at a time because I'm sure it's loaded with sugar. I've heard about them for years! Give me some other things but I can't remember what I make video was very excellent to watch!😊
Regarding the pasta salad, I notice I have to put 2 times the mayo than I really want, if I want to eat the pasta salad later. Otherwise have to ´rehydrate ´ with more mayo the next day
That's kinda what I was thinking about the pasta salad sauce- mainly because I remember how many times I've made one that seemed "perfect" right after making it but was too dry by the next day! 😊
No, you’ll make yourself sick, it isn’t safe to leave food you have done cooked left out 24 hrs or longer. Here’s a tip of what you can do if it’s an oil based dressing you can leave it set in a jar, on your counter for half of the day! 12:27
In complete honesty I don't often go to Dollar Tree, but your videos are so fun, informative and down to earth that I still always tune in. Thanks for all you do!
Here is a good use for the iced coffees: Pour it into ice trays and freeze. Pour your hot coffee over. Boom. Sugar, creamer, and ice without watering down your iced coffee. Yum!

That sounds yummy!
I like to doctor up the bacon ranch pasta salad with tuna and canned peas. Diced ham and tomatoes is also a good option

I never found an off brand dessert at Dollar Tree that tasted good to me. I gave up and only buy the names I know.
Fun video, thanks Rebecca! 🎉
I LOVE the Sunkist Orange and Cranberry breakfast biscuits from Dollar Tree!
I feel like that box of pasta salad forgetting some of the ingredients on the list could be a potential lawsuit 😬
I love your videos and recipes and you've helped us all for budgeting
I'm so glad!
Try to add just straight black coffee to make it a little darker and and not so sweet ik this dollar tree video but if you drink it often I would do that just a suggestion
Good to see you Rebecca!! Love your content always!! Thank you! ❤
Thank you so much!
I love your Dollar Tree content. I need to find a larger Dollar Tree close to me. North Central Arkansas
Those soup cartons are fantastic to bulk out with chicken (canned, leftover rotisserie, etc), cooked noodles, you can even add spinach!
Rebecca’s in the house - it is a great day!
I love these videos. I've definitely tried new Dollar Tree foods because of your recommendations. Thanks!
If you do the caesar one and make it creamy with the mayo, i add black olives, feta, steamed broccoli, red onions, and things to make it more like a greek salad but make it caesar.
what we do to make the pasta salad more like a meal is i add 1 can of drained chicken, green onion, diced cheese, and bacon
Your reviews of the food are my favorite. I get cautious trying the dollar tree food, so thank you for doing them
I make the suddenly salad traditional Italian one all the time and also find that to be "too saucy" I always double the rotini for that as well - which is helpful! Double the serving for one seasoning pack. I also add chopped bell peppers to nake it taste a bit more "homemade"/fresh 😁
I love that pacific soup!!! It’s perfect with grilled cheese btw
That Roasted Red Pepper and Tomato soup is our favorite and that price is amazing! If you see the Butternut Squash soup by the same brand, it is great also. Thanks for the fun video!
So glad you were on today! You made my day.
Look for their Jim Beam Bourbon Vanilla flavored ground coffee. It's my fav!
I have been stalking my local DT waiting for them to get it back in stock lol
@@RachaelGenX We almost always have it in my town. But the next town over never has it.
I live in Indiana. I could always send ya some if ya want. I usually get like 7 at a time.
@@RachaelGenX maybe when you move....or during your move you may find some.
I hope your day is as beautiful as you are, Rebecca ❤️
Picked up the Pacific Foods Thai sweet potato soup today. Still on the lookout for the red pepper & tomato and the butternut squash!
Restock items for the pantry:
Martha White muffin mix (the chocolate chip and the banana nut$
Betty Crocker chocolate chip cookie mix
Wonton strips
Black pitted olives
Baking powder
Thai Sriracha hot sauce
Whole Kosher dill pickles
Strawberry preserves
Thank you Rebecca! Did a comparison to Walmart. Surprisingly, the Martha White mixes are slightly less expensive at Walmart.
The cookie mix is a larger size at Walmart, but ounce for ounce similar price.
The soup isn’t available in store, but Amazon sells it for $2.50 per can
Pickles & olives are nearly double on price at Walmart
Same for the GV strawberry preserves.
The wonton strips are more expensive at Walmart
The sriracha is difficult to compare ounce for ounce, based on flavor preferences
I didn't know Palermo moved to Turkey ..... nyuk nyuk nyuk
In NJ we say en-teh-MINS. it's a german name that means Duck-Man! 🦆
The Ducking American in Mexico Jim
I did enjoy the video, thanks. One time I found a ketchup called G. Hughes sugar free. One of the best ketchups I had ever had. I went back to get someone and they didn't have it, but did start selling it at Food Lion at a much higher cost. Yes, I bought it.
That brand also makes a low sugar barbecue sauce that is delicious!
Thank you! Love the comparisons. Time & gas is money saved sometimes. The pasta salad has veggies but I only used 1/2 seasoning and saved the rest.
When I was young I would make a marble cake from a vanilla and a chocolate jiffy cake. Then I would top it with peanut butter. I was young broke and had no cooking skills.
Sounds good 😊
That marble cake can most likely be best compared to something from the European food section, if your stores have that. 😺
that's probably a great comparison! because it wasn't very sweet, it probably is more akin to a European dessert
When I traveled to Germany years ago, I had slices of marble cake like that for breakfast several times. It was delicious!
I love to shop at Dollar Tree so these videos are very helpful for me. Thank you!😊
I love your new Dollar Tree item reviews!
My comfort account 🤗
My sister makes what we call “ghetto” guacamole. Mashed avocados, mayo or Miracle Whip and salsa. Stir and eat. I Love this
That is my favorite grocery store soup! The texture while pouring is how it is no matter how much you shake it lol. Thats a great deal at the dollar store!
For the suddenly salad, I think it is so creamy because if it had to cool down it would soak up the sauce. You have given me some ideas. Thank you.
I would watch that!
Appreciated the Walmart price comparisons!
If you cut a chicken breast in half then use half of the mayo mix on it I think that would be a pretty nice meal. 17:01
Thank you for the price comparison and taste testing. I was going to get the Victor Allen coffee yesterday but ended up putting the cans back. Now I am going to buy several of them tomorrow. This video was really helpful.
Yay!! I agree Vanilla over chocolate!!
Thank you! Very interested in the jalapeno sauce and maybe those coffees but I couldn't drink one whole can at a time because I'm sure it's loaded with sugar. I've heard about them for years! Give me some other things but I can't remember what I make video was very excellent to watch!😊
I love your budget meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner meals
Just by looking at it, that marble cake isn't in the same league as Entenmann's. Thanks for trying out all the new items!!
So happy to see you back .. you give so much info about prices, taste thank you!!!
Suddenly Salad uses .5 cup Mayo as well
I pay $4.38 at Walmart for a bag of 5 Haas small avacados or $4.12 for a bag of 4 large. They are $1.08 if you buy them 1 at a time.
Regarding the pasta salad, I notice I have to put 2 times the mayo than I really want, if I want to eat the pasta salad later. Otherwise have to ´rehydrate ´ with more mayo the next day
Girl. I have to run to DT for the soup. It looks so good and the salad. Thanks for sharing 😍❤️🔥❤️🔥
Thank you, Rebecca. I love your videos.
I'm gonna try that pasta salad. I might let it sit overnight though to absorb that extra sauce. I bet it's one of those that's better the next day.
@sonyafox3271 I think she meant refrigerate it overnight, not set out on the counter- I know that's what my comment was referring to :)
This is the content I enjoy watching
In complete honesty I don't often go to Dollar Tree, but your videos are so fun, informative and down to earth that I still always tune in. Thanks for all you do!
