Two of the most amazing parts about that performance 1 it's outside which makes it hard to remain clear on the mic, and 2 it's the last song in the set and she still brings the heat like it's the first song
I really love that your daughter notices that she has such control of her breath. I've watched reaction videos one this video with vocal teachers and they notice that she has such amazing control on the last song of the set. You are really a joy to watch react because you both truly appreciate the whole being of the band, especially with bands like this with such amazing talent throughout.

This concert was early in the morning and wasn't even the main stage, so to have this many people and they are that hyped is crazy. I think everyone should have the experience of crowd surfing. It's so awesome!

Hey Van great reaction, you and your daughter react so well together. I agree with your daughter, Tati's voice is amazing, and at first, listening to a Jinjer song especially for the first time, sometimes the lyrics are hard to follow especially during her growling, but if you pull up the lyrics, or listen to the song over and over again, the lyrics become clear as day. Tati writes almost all of the lyrics for their songs, and her lyrics are amazing. What makes her lyrics even more impressive, is she's Ukrainian along with the rest of the band Eugene (bass), Roman (guitar) and Vlad (drums) so Russian is their native tongue, but to write so eloquently in English is pretty damn impressive. Anyhow, keep on rockin you two, hope to see more reactions from you guys in the future especially when it comes to Jinjer. 😊😊😊🎶🎶🎶🎶🤘🤘🤘🤘

"Look at all that people, maaan!" Not bad for a new band, first time on that festival and on a secondary stage at 11AM, huh? ; ) Kudos for noticing Tatiana's bow at the end, it shows the respect they have for the fans. I haven't seen any reactor mentioning that.
Once you get over the shock of Tatiana’s voice, you can understand what she’s singing. There are many singers who growl, but you really can’t understand what they’re saying, for the most part, but I can understand Tati. Love this band!
In case no one has mentioned it before: when you know how to do the growls it doesn't hurt your voice at all so it's easy to switch between growls and cleans. Just two different techniques.
It doesn’t hurt, but the technique she uses takes so much air it makes her doing her run live and then the false chord screams right after even more impressive.
She said in a livestream about a week ago that about half the time she growls it hurts like hell and if she's not doing shows back to back she even loses the ability for a short while and has to scream higher notes until she finds it again.
@@JonNo86 That makes me think shes using inhales instead of exhales to do most of the growls. When I started I used inhales and it hurts like hell after awhile. Learned exhales are the safer way to do them. Or maybe its could still be exhales but what ever strain she has to do to hit the lows hurts idk, everyone I talk to seems to have their own techs that works for them.

Wacken is a small village in northern germany in the middle of nowhere. Once a year the whole metal world meets there for nearly a week to have fun at one of the biggest metal festivals of the world. Fans come from all over the world but mainly from germany. Which brings me to the fans. German metal fans are normally extremely polite and friendly. In my experience even more polite than the people listening to classical music. For example, if you loose something in the pit, like your glasses, everyone stops and looks for them. They are also a bit calmer than ... metalheads from the US or brasilian fans.
Your pronounciation is perfect! Wacken is a very small village in the north of Germany. It is a biiiiig open air event for years now and all the normal country-and-polka-listening villagers have come to love the crazy metal heads! If you can play in Wacken, you`re out of the worst!
Actually these days Tatiana and Eugene are stranded in California and live somewhere in LA (Corona, they didn`t want to chance their way back home to the Ukraine!) They streamed two videos from there answering questions from fans. Might be interesting to you!
Yes Wacken is in germany, the festival is named after the village where it takes place. Funfact the festival has around 70-80k people visiting it, meanwhile the little village has less than 2000 inhabitants.

The more you listen to all Jinjer songs you will hear what she is saying pretty clearing without even realizing it, she is the best I have have ever heard clearly when she does her growls more than any other band. I would put Slipknot there as well because coreys growls are pretty easy to hear over time as well

But for something much more recent Angela Gossow teamed up with Amaranthe for Do Or Die released a couple of months ago. The contrast of voices between Angela and Elize Ryd was especially good.
Hi Ben and Niah, sorry to correct you like all other I watched their reactions. It isn´t a mosh pit it´s a circle pit because they running in a circle ;). Mosh pits aren´t allowed at the Wacken Festival anymore. To much ppl get hurt and need medical treatment. What you didn´t know, we had 107,6°F last summer(from the beginning ´till the end) and bring such a performance under this weather condition in this jumpsuit it´s absolutely stunning. I was still there and talked to her and watched her performance live. She´s so amazing and kind as well like the other band members. have a good time and yall stay safe, healthy and secure. regards from down under(Australia)
Oh oh oh do “Who’s going to be the one” live. Omfg. What she is doing is called “false fold” screaming or a “false fold fry”. She’s actually not using her vocal chords which is why she can switch back and forth between the vocal tones. It’s not easy and you can easily blow out your voice and damage it permanently if you don’t know what you are doing. She’s extremely talented. It’s not just “screaming”.
I started listening to this band on satellite radio around about six years ago, for a while there I didn't know the singer was a woman till I saw one of their videos, around that time there were no cleans, all growls. Then I bought the albums and experienced her cleans, her voice is amazing. The thing I find funny is everyone I see a reaction to this band they always do Pisces, never experience the good stuff they did years ago, what a shame.
You and your daughter should react to THE AGONIST - Thank You Pain (OFFICIAL VIDEO). lol you won't be disappointed, the female vocalist in The Agonist is fucking BRUTAL same as Tatiana from the band Jinjer. Female vocalists in metal music have levels of brutality, people should decide for themselves what they think. Arch Enemy is another band with a female vocalist who was the first vocalist in The Agonist but left then thereafter joined Arch Enemy as vocalist.

There aren’t too many rules with metal, so musicians can go crazy with their parts. That is why I love it

Interesting fact about metal fans is that they are more like classical music fans than any other genre. The reason being is the structure of a lot of metal is closer to classical music.

She and another member of the band were apart of a Religious cult when they were young. The ran away together and are now in a very popular touring band. "Mlny Parsonz" the singer has SUCH a powerful voice.
