We had the same guide during one of our safaris in Kabini last year. He is amazing and knows the jungle so well. We were in the middle of the forest when he heard calls and rushed to the highway to see a young tiger crossing the road to the other side. We were the only jeep there at the point and were lucky to have the sighting. By the time other jeeps arrived, the tiger had disappeared into the bushes and was too shy to come out after. Your sighting was amazing. Lucky to have seen tigers in almost all of your safaris!
Absolutely wonderful vlog...it reminded me of my visit to kabini JLR in 1998, we had a naturalist explaining completely about the jungle and we went foe 3 hours boat ride too .. every moment even today it is unforgettable... thanks for the vlog.
👌👌👌 please make more road trip videos of Karnataka.. stay safe.. Thank you for showing Kabini.. I think presence in such place is unexplainable with those immersed in nature feeling
A well very narrated and articulated video. Loved the storytelling and music. Your videos are world class and Netflix standards. Watching this video we felt as much in Kabini as you guys were. Congratulations on sighting the tiger.
This was the first video (along with the Evolve Back part) of you guys I'd seen a few months ago. Been a regular follower of your beautiful content since. Came back to this video again today after returning from a trip to Kabini! We also saw the Temple Female at a very similar spot to where you guys did. Funnily enough, we also spotted our first tiger, in Kabini, in May 2018. Haha, cute little coincidence. Love your content, love your presentation style too. Hope you guys get another forest vacation soon :)
Thank you so much! JLR has a pretty good website with almost all information you need. If you stay with them (except for the dorms) safaris are covered in the package.
Tht was fantastic sighting :) We had been to Nagarahole safari many times times but not fortunate enough to to sight a tiger. Just wanted to know the price for safari and from where do we board in Kabani, would be great if you could let us know.
Thank you! It’s better to check the Nagarahole Forest website. Everything is online these days. You will have to prebook the safari if you are not staying in JLR or any resort will book it for you
Very nice. We were there in 2020, stayed 2 nights at the JRL, 4 safaris and spotted 4 tigers on 3 of the morning safaris. My channel bitti kudre * has a video. But one thing negative about the JRL safaris is the excessive importance they give for big cat sighting. As you rightly pointed out, there is more to Kabini Forest than just big cat sighting, true people pay large amount and want to sight big cats, but that's a bonus...no guarantee.... just enjoy the forest and get close, if not totally physically , at least in spirit when you go there.
Oh 3 out of 4 is a very good hit ratio! That’s lovely. I don’t blame the JLR to be honest. It’s our expectation that drives them to give importance to big cats. But yeah, just being in the forest is something special. Sooner we realise it, we’ll lower our expectations 😊
hi mr. swaroop, loved your vlog, perhaps, the video wud be more appropriate and enjoyable, if u had muted the music and added the natural silence and sounds of the forest. so, that the vlog carries us & makes more immersive. this only my opinion. but, overall, enjoyable.
Has saya been sighted around your safari time? What information did the naturalist give about him? Just curious to know about him as he hasn't been seen recently...
pl cut outthe loud music when showing the tigers and animals on the safari. Let the viewers also enjoy the silence of the forest. Good view otherwise, thanks.
@@NotInOffice Philosophy is good for one time visitors. Truth is known by people who used to visit from last 2 decades (and stopped visiting because of uncontrolled commercialization resulting in bribe & other tactics to get into the right zones. In your video itself, there is a pressure on driver to drive the vehicle too fast inside the forest for tiger sighting. Do they have any safety measures? What is the speed limit inside the forest?
We are not denying your concerns at all. We only listed out our experience. There are high chances that what you suggested happens because the system is so big and monotonous.
Went couple of months back in '23. JLR run Safari Jeep driver changed to Bison resort driver and their wildlife guide. The guide was very good, sighted a tiger within minutes of entering the jungle. He heard the alarm calls of monkeys and deer and navigated the driver. However, in his eagerness to show the tiger again to his resort customers occupying the first 2 rows of the JLR jeep!!, they delayed the return, waiting extra 10 min inside the jungle trails for the tiger to appear. Then seeing other vehicles had exited, the driver drove like real mad formula racing driver crazy 80km/hr inside the jungle bumpy trails to reach the checkpost. there some exchange took place. The JLR jeep driver mysteriously appeared, exchanged the driver seat and drove the vehicle once the others got down on their way to Bison resort. Net result, next day our friends were sick due to the vehicle jerks the previous day and it ruined their further stay. Shudder to think, what would have happened if the jeep had encountered any wild animal at such speed.
And the “olle photographer” says Hi! 😊 I still remember Swaroop’s shaking hand! Good to see you back in Kabini.
Sir, Namaskara🙏 We will never forget the experience we had together. Next time you and Rajeev sir plan, let us know. We’ll try to join you guys

Next time!

Ok done
Pay bribe and get A zone safari in Kabini. Others get B zone or boat safari. Only photographers get to visit A zone as they bribe the naturalists.
We have had sightings in both zones without bribing anybody. Sightings can happen any where
