With only two hours on it in weak conditions, still knowing to each other, but I'd say it's clearer than my Artik 5 (it talks a little bit more, but the info is useful). When it requires any input, it asks for it more clearly too, and it seems like you have to be a bit sharper. Just feelings. Not even a single wing tip collapse. Otherwise, it is faster, climbs better, turns flatter, and the glide is superb, especially against the wind. I can't speak on its behavior in stronger conditions. @@bzapirain I agree with @alexmiranda936 , you have a lot of movement with your brakes, your way of flying seems nervous or the paraglider requires a lot of energy ?
After +30 hours since the flight in this video (it was my first flight with the Artik R), I am super happy with the wing. The best wing (out of three...) I have ever had and the one that makes me feel most comfortable in the air so far. Certainly, a little more demanding than the Artik 5, but it is more resistant to collapses, faster, better glide. When I went from a Mentor 3 to the Artik 5 years ago, I had the feeling that it was a much easier wing than I expected, and the sensations in flight were better. The same thing happened when I switched to the Artik R months ago). The brakes are longer on the R, but I love the handling. In addition, I have changed the WV GTO light (first version, due to the poor aging of the cocoon fabric) for the Niviuk Arrow and now everything seems even more stable than before, although now I need a larger backpack. As a casual pilot who flies mostly in mild conditions, the only thing I can tell you is that it is a superb wing. If you think you're ready, just try it.
