Tears of Themis - Luke Pearce Theme (Piano Arr. by Millefiori)

Warning: Slight spoilers for Luke's personal story and excessive fangirling are present in the upcoming paragraphs. You've been warned!
So... I've been playing a mobile game called Tears of Themis lately, and I swear I gave it a go because I genuinely thought the story and ace-attorney-esque gameplay were interesting. However, I should've known that I'd end up becoming so attached to one of the characters since ToT is also an otome game OTL Judging by the title of this video, you can easily guess that that character is none other than Luke Pearce, aka Mr. Detective and/or Sherlock. I just love the whole childhood friend dynamic he has going on with MC since I'm a huge sucker for childhood romance tropes. They're just so sweet together, which is precisely why his personal story so far has made me cry ugly tears. Like goodness gracious, one minute Luke is being the sweet, dependable, and overprotective man he is and then he has the audacity to say things like "I'll always be here for you" to MC when I'm over here ugly crying while shouting "Liesssss" because he only has three years left to live. It hurts even more since MC has NO idea about Luke's terminal illness. I just... ugh it hurts T-T. In spite of the emotional pain Luke inflicts onto my heart from time to time (seriously Mihoyo, stop messing with my feelings), I do genuinely love his character. Granted his overprotectiveness can be excessive but it's endearing nonetheless. And don't get me started on how adorable he is when he sings Twinkle Twinkle Little Star to calm MC down. Aghghghahahagh he's just so sweet. Because I love this man so much, I thought it would be appropriate to learn his theme on the piano haha! It works out because I haven't seen a live recording of his theme uploaded on RUclips, so I guess I'm here to fix that lol.
I do like what HOYO-MiX did for Luke's theme. The syncopation makes the song sound upbeat and cheerful, which I think is brilliant because that is the kind of sunshine vibe Luke exudes (well... whenever he's not talking about his illness...). The melody is also comforting--the kind of comfort that compares to a cozy home or a moment of fondly reminiscing one's childhood memories. His theme overall basically feels like being enveloped in a warm hug that I feel like all of us are in need of these days, and that is why his theme is my favorite!
Anyway, I should probably stop here before I fangirl more... just think of this cover as a small tribute to Mr. Detective Pearce himself as well as to the new Halloween-y event that coincidentally started today!
