Great info. I remember about 3 or 4 years ago we had a really late freeze in SE OK and had a very poor acorn crop. The deer came to the corn feeders better that year than any I can remember. The feeders attract so many pigs I’m going to straight good plots only this year.
If you have a bad drought and the Red Oaks abort their acorns will that affect 1 years worth or 2 ? I had a drought set in 2 years ago late spring and lasted until the next spring / early summer. I have not got any acorns for 2 years.......my property was loaded for the 3 years prior. Thanks

Yes! I suspect areas in central MO, KS, etc., will experience a freeze and loss of oak flowers.

A bad, prolonged drought can results in all developing acorns aborting.
