Hurricane Beryl was heading toward Mexico's Yucatan Peninsula as a Category 3 storm on Thursday after rumbling past the Cayman Islands.

Beryl passed Grand Cayman at 5:30am this Thursday morning, about 60 miles south of us, as a Cat 3. We did not lose power or water, not much damage, thankfully. The sea on Seven Mile Beach looked like glass. It was so smooth, but no, she passed us at 10:30am. The waves were starting to build, and a bit of rain. Thinking of the others who were deeply affected.
7 people died in those islands. 3 have died in Venezuela with 5 still missing in Hurricane Beryl. It's hitting the Yucatan Peninsula Mexico tonight ( only hours away ). Cameron County , Maverick County, will get much rain for several days.

I used to dive down there years ago. I was very concerned for the folks there. Hope you all are OK.
I hope it doesn't rapidly intensify in the gulf like Harvey did. Harvey was supposed to be a tropical storm in Texas but instead became a category 4
