Madhukar good work
I very much appriciated the questions 24 yrs. ago presented to Papaji. I found Madhukar as a honest seeker. I first time liked the teachings of P. and the genuine laughter of the audience. The very last example about the tree was very beautiful. I ask my self: what happened with M. since this time, because now, when I see a video of M. I feel totally different. Not genuin. I think also that there is a problem with the teaching of "non-purification", because it doesnt address the seeker who feels separate from truth and good moral behavior. We read in the Vedas, the Gita etc. the teachings of the three qualities, the gunas: tamas, rajas and sattva, a teaching that leads us from darkness to light, from death to immortality etc. Without dwelling a stand in a pure mind most of the time one doesnt understand the true reality, which we are. We will again and again identify with the body/mind, when so called impure thoughts occupy our minds (mind understood as the accumulation of thoughts and feelings). Impure thoughts would be lust, greed, selfishness etc. The teachings of purifying the body/mind, which we are not, keeps us from falling into the trap of enlightenment sickness, meaning that we believe in the thought:" I got it". I would suggest to keep going for therapy, doing all purifications (like a bath, when our body is dirty) and having good moral conducts, values etc., then we dont have to discuss the "me too" debate in the so called spiritual circles. There is so much sexual and money abuse in the spiritual groups going on, which comes from non-purification of the thoughts. There is the saying: next to good manners enlightenment is a good thing. Simplicity, innocence, humor and good will which displays as grace which aim is to dismantle the grip of mind-ego is what Papaji presents. And more over, whoever had good karma to meet his presence has chance to be delivered by the same grace. What is, "is" and it is this silent waiting for the inner Sun to appear which makes it happen. Sometimes after 20-30 years of practice and sometimes instant. Once mind has reached the samadhi makes all beings happy, in peace, resolved and complete. Thank you for this amazing interview.

We need intellect to reflect up on an object to be seen! We need mind to encompass and understand that object which is reflected intellect!!
These both are useful in knowing a tangible object.
Awareness is not an object! So mind intellect Not useful in intuitive knowing of awareness.
Mind asks for enlightenment, that is a thought in mind! If you entertain that thought it creates lot of subsequent thoughts. So using it is not a right direction.
Now as a first step and the last step what we were asked to observe is the source of mind. Mind is bundle of thoughts. To know source of it, it has to calm down so that we can back trace where it’s emerging from. Means where the thoughts emerge from!!
When thoughts are present our attention cannot swim against the thought flow to know the source. So to know source, mind has to be calm. At that time the instrument called mind is empty. When its is empty u will be the awareness which knows the mind is empty. Antarmukhi
So u can only BE the awareness but u cannot know it directly!!! As one object knowing another!!
That’s why it said manaseva manushyaabaam kaaranam moksham bhandhayoho!!
When mind has thoughts and when u believe in them u r bound by mind.
When mind is calm, u remain as awareness. U are free of mind!!
When we know objects, we are use the sentence like
we are conscious of an object!!
Same thing when we are conscious of nothing , or no-thing we are awareness!!

I don’t get it sometimes these gurus in India contradict themselves, some says or lot of them says do meditation like Kriya and here is Papaji saying do nothing,
Truth is one, paths are many.
Duality gives rise to seeming contradictions. But to express the inexpressible which is beyond words and duality, you hit many paradoxes. That's all.
Whenever ANY of us in ANY religious form THINK "we know" there will arise ignorance. For us who do not really KNOW, the beginning of wisdom is "I don't know."
That's because there is no carved out path to NOTHINGNESS or stillness....so , things depend on the seeker ...but in essence...doing nothing leads to nothingness...but to do nothing one has to realize how boring the doing is ...
To realize that thinking is limited , one has to think...similarly , to come to effortlessness , effort is needed, at least at the beginning

But of course, Poonja infamously said:

What kind of alleged Jnani could possibly be “jealous” of anyone?
Also, even if we overlook the strangeness of someone claiming Self realization being jealous, he in that statement is admitting he wasn’t “jealous” of Bhagavan Sri Ramana Maharshi.

in non duality as in advaita vedenta there is no separate entity, however in christianity among others GOD is a separate entity of its own and DOES NOT need human beings to exist , furthermore GOD created humanity from scratch body & soul. two VERY opposite doctrines (view-beliefs)...* as the wise old man said " all i know is that i know NOTHING ! " unquote.

Пападжи был на пути к Просветлению, и много медитировал, пытаясь достичь этого, но не смог, из за своей жажде учить, это было его ошибкой. Учить можно только после достижения Самадхи, до этого учить не рекомендуется. Все те, кто учат людей, но не в Самадхи, то они псевдо. учителя. Учитель может учить другому не Просветлению, а например, как рисовать.

So God is a creation of the mind!!! Then everything happens by chance, right? Our planet in the exact position, with the exact course of movement in order to support life. Our bodies, the most perfect and complex machine.The laws of physics. Everything happens by chance, doesn't it? No God, no creator, right? Maybe the Advaita followers should spend some more billions of years meditating on the Self in order to realize God is the only reality. Everything else is a dream. And yes, we are gods, but very tiny gods. God is the Ocean, we are just drops of ocean water. Our main purpose in life is to reconnect with the Supreme.
Humans are prone to more then 2000 types of diseases and illnesses!! Far from perfect my friend. We are here by chance and I'm very comfortable with that.
Behind Chance there is Karma!!!
