- This video is not monetized, and all pieces used have been trimmed/edited/mixed. All pieces were composed by Martin O'Donnell/Michael Salvatori (of Bungie Studios circa 2009) for Halo 3: ODST. I doubt saying these things will stop potential copyright strikes, but it was worth a shot... :P
Man, these ODST-centric mixes have a tendency to get abandoned and brought back much later... Way back when I did my "Speed Zone Ahead" mix, I said I had a few ideas for ODST tracks that can be stitched together. This (and at least one other) were what I had in mind at the time. Not much to say regarding why it took so long other than I just kept putting it off until I basically shelved it. Recently, however, I've been on a bit of an ODST OST kick, so the motivation came flooding back to get this done. Hope you enjoy! :)

Each time the music enters a new phase, a new instrument gets added. It’s like everytime you beat a Covenant wave, a new one shows up that’s meaner than the last. Then it slows down, gaining momentum; a reprieve with the jazz bits coming out. Now the epic comes back with one final push, before that Super Carrier shows up and decides to be like, “Glass them!” All in all, this shows how ODSTs can put up a real fight. Humanity’s military at their best and brightest, and their most daring (for you can’t be an ODST without being a bit crazy, and we like it crazy). Note: the beginning transition is smooth. Right into the music for us to enjoy. Nicely done there.
Got this just after finally beating a legendary campaign of ODST with 18 skulls on. It took me forever to get through the final mission, and the final battle at the end was pretty much hell
It made victory all the more sweet though, and hearing this at the ending cutscene was nice
This is one of my favorite build up scores from Halo 3 ODST. The arrangement of the strings and then the Saxophone hits
