    If you are discussing cavity relief you need to discuss DIB1

    Stephen
    what do you mean by saying designing a valve?
    do you mean an engineer to design a valve and the Manufacturer to manufacure what the engineer designs

      Yes exactly.
      Valve design engineer will design different valve by different standard and customer demand.

    Mr. Stephen, what Is the different between ASME B16.34 and ASME B16.5? Are materials listed on both of them satisfy the API 6D? Thanks

    • @pradeepabg52
      @pradeepabg52 6 лет назад

      I will try to share what I know - ASME B16.34 is Basic standard for Valves (Flanged, Threaded and Welding ends) for Material selection, Pressure and Temperature rating, Min Bore Dia, & Min Wall thickness of the Valve where in case of ASME B16.5 is used to Chcek or Design the Flange ( PCD, No. of Holes and Dia of Holes) Yes your correct its containing material table but not to prefer to use for design and API 6D Says to check the Group of Material in ASME B16.34 once again for design.
