    Great lesson! Would love to see you implement a blues turnaround in that 12 bar blues you played at the end, maybe a couple of turnarounds on easy and one kinda hard.

    This is a chord progression I've been hoping someone would lay out for us for a while now. I think I've seen someone else try to do it but not as well as this. Thanks brother!

      In the major scale, the 4th and 5th are called “perfect” because of how harmonious they sound, compared to the other notes in the scale. That’s why they’re so popularly used even when shaping chord progressions. Hope that made sense!

    These 5 note scales aren't Pentatonic Minor or Major scales exactly. please explain what they are. 1, 3, 5,6,b7? I'm confused.

    • @OnwardAndEdward
      @OnwardAndEdward 25 дней назад +8

      Think of them more like arpeggios than scales. The I-III-V-bVII are notes found in a 7th chord, and the VI is kind of a “bonus” note that is found in the Major scale. Basically this is a cluster of notes that outline chords, which is what makes them great for making blues riffs.
