Despite the critics and rating this was refreshing. So many great dramas that flopped because of the terrible ending in 2024. I love a good ole romcom and familial unity. This has me laughing start to finish. Hoping 2025 dramas can really deliver. Can we get decent endings this year, please!

@@IrumaKunn You're just biased. He was a better actor than the first one. The first one had a better storyline, but it was hard to watch because AC was not great in that role. NQ's life is full of harshness type of characters. AC made him look like he was raised in a green house. It makes sense. AC himself didn't have to go through any harshness in his life when he played NQ, so he didn't understand that character.
@@DylanWangFan1220I thought AC played NQ really well, though I had no background to the story, but that's my opinion. I understand that a change of actor is hard to adapt to, but Dylan did a great job, too. He played the character very bouncy and sometimes I thought AC might have interpreted certain things better, more subtly but..considering also that this was WHD's second acting role, good job!
@@5talentgirl The set up of NQ is someone who experienced massacre at a very young age. Then he had to survive on his own for a very long time. On top of that, he had to raise little Sang Sang. There should be a maturity in NQ that is beyond NQ's age due to what he went through. AC does not bring those elements out, which is why I said he seems to have grown up in a green house (meaning in a protected environment). AC does not understand the character of NQ. DW, on the other hand, while trying to be optimistic and happy go lucky, shows those elements. Another thing, AC's presence (in Chinese 气场) is very weak. It was especially obvious when he was wearing the student outfits and standing with a bunch of students. He felt like an extra on the set, and not the main character. I was especially disappointed when he delivered that speech to the crowd in the tent at the snowy mountain area. The message of the speech was awesome, but his performance of it was really weak. Really cuts down the point of the speech. DW's presence though, there's no doubt about it. When he was surrounded by all those people at the temple accusing him of being the son of darkness (Hades), with all those angers directed at him, he would have been easily swallowed up, but no, you can feel his presence reaching out, of someone who had experienced all the harshness of life, and someone who knows he needs to fight back to survive. His presence is especially commanding in the court scene where he killed that useless prince/emperor. Then there's the fight scenes. AC's fight scenes just can't compare to DW's fight scenes. I don't know if AC performed all of his own stunts, but DW did. 气场 also makes a big difference for the audience watching the fight scenes. AC is just too weak in that area.
