Tim has a solo album out that is doo wop. You talk about his voice being perfect for country music. In all honesty, his voice is perfect for music. It matters not what genre it is.

Adam Rupp is the beatboxer extraordinaire. He and Chris are brothers and started the group when they were in college.. Chris Rupp left in 2016 to pursue other musical interests. He was replaced by Adam Chance as the baritone in the group but with a 4 octave range he was a great addition and can cover bass when Tim is singing lead. One of the things you will notice as you get more familiar with the guys is how incredibly talented each guy is individually. It doesn't always show when they sing as a group because they split up the duties and HF is known for putting the song first. They don't just throw things in bc they can unless it makes sense to the song. So you may have to watch their individual work to get the full picture.

One I think you'll really love--Home Free's version of "Do You Hear What I Hear", filmed in Minnesota which is where Chris and Adam Rupp are from (Rob, also)! Visually stunning, as the background is an Ice Castle (it's built every year in Minnesota at different locations each year), and the vocals are stunning, as well. This is one you need to do! ♥

Good reaction! So many songs... A few: Man of Constant Sorrow, Brothers In Arms, Brother, When A Man Loves A Woman, Folsom Prison Blues. For Christmas: Do You Hear What I Hear (nothing like it), O Holy Night. There's much more; over 150 videos plus all the members' non-HF videos. On Austin Brown's channel, he sings Bring Him Home from Les Miserables -- absolutely beautiful! Looking forward to your journey down the HF rabbit hole 🕳!

Oh so much fun. It’s a good mashup and they were respectful of women really only showing their own butts. This is an older video so Chris (with cowboy hat) is in it. He left the band in 2016 and was replaced by Chance and yes, Tim cut his hair. He couldn’t get to the hairdresser during Covid so he cut his hair and let the gray come through. Home Free is so good and they have great harmonies. They also have a lot of new songs that are originals. Try Understand (original), Helplessly Hoping, O Holy Night.

This is such a fun mashup of songs. Very cleverly done from one song to another. The talent these guys have is phenomenal. They have so much fun but the vocals never suffer. And Adam's beatboxing is on another level. Home Free was very respectful in this video about not offending any women.

1st off loved the reaction 😃 As for suggestions, for pure harmonies I would highly recommend their rendition of Helplessly Hoping, for something with an R&B flavor I'd suggest their rendition of Boyz2Men End of the Road and if you'd like a little more country, I'd recommend Man of Constant Sorrow. Also if you want a feel good song I'd most certainly go with their version of Listen to the Music.

There are several phone-recorded angles of the Kearney off-mic. You will know who has the strongest most projecting voice. I was lucky to hear that just shortly before 'Nessun Dorma', so was not surprised by Rob in that other than his tone which was very impressive. 'Brothers in Arms' is crazy good. Patsy Cline's 'Crazy' is great. But I would love seeing you react to Adam Chance with The Hound and the Fox take on 'Wayfaring Stranger'.

    You haven't heard their best vocals yet. Here are some suggestions to flesh out your Home Free playlist;
"Brothers in Arms", "How Great Thou Art" or "Helplessly Hoping" for incredible 5 part harmonies where Adam Rupp sings instead of beat boxing.
"End of the Road" a great Boys to Men cover and one of their best.
"When a Man Loves a Woman" for a little romance.
"Blue Ain't Your Color" or "Folsom Prison Blues" for a different take on country songs.
"In the Blood", "My Church", "Amazed", "Ring of Fire" and "Man of Constant Sorrow", or "Mary Did You Know" because they are just really great songs.
"Mayday" but don't listen to this until after you get to know these guys.

A lot their songs, for me, tie together in various ways, so I often recommend them together. Avi Kaplan from Pentatonix join the guys for Johnny Cash's Ring of Fire. They started filming the video for Champagne Taste on a Beer Budget right after that and since Avi was still there, hanging out with his buddies, he's seen in a quick walkthrough toward the end of the video. Tim wrote that one and its Christmas time followup Full of Cheer. Austin also went with the off-beat Christmas theme when he wrote Cold Hard Cash and that video shows that going silly and funny doesn't interfere with their great harmonies.

Hello! New subscriber here. Loved your reaction and analysis of this fun song. There could literally be 100 comments each with a different Home Free suggestion. Adding to the list, I would nominate the two songs they did with their musical predecessors, the Oak Ridge Boys. "Elvira" was the biggest hit of the Oak Ridge Boys' 40+ year career. (They're STILL touring by the way". And, with the holidays coming up, "Beautiful Star of Bethlehem" is also a great choice. For a singing coach, there should be a heck of a lot of vocal "meat" to work with. Enjoy your Home Free journey.

I always recommend Workin' for a Living to newer folks -- it's got the current lineup mostly with their current hairstyles (Adam has been growing his out), it's fun, you get to hear everyone but it's Chance led so you get to hear more of him, there's an awesome Adam Rupp "nomonica" solo, and as a bonus you get all their names at the start of the video.

And...another one falls down the rabbit hole. You are so fucking doomed. We'll save you a chair.
You're about to be buried in Home Fries.
Home Free is the only country a capella group out there, but they can - and do - sing every genre. And they have no lead singer. Every one of these men can take the lead, and they pick the lead for each song by who does it the most justice. During quarantine, they kept all us Home Fries sane by dropping new videos every couple of weeks. God bless ‘em.
All the men can beat box, but Adam is in a league of his own. He's a two-time world champion and there're good reasons he's called a "Freak of Nature" and “the man who swallowed a drum kit.” For more of Adam's incredible beat boxing, check out Sea Shanty medley (the man makes castanets, for Pete's sake), his no-monica solo on Working For A Living and Ain't Going Down Til The Sun Comes Up (that video is on Facebook), and his drum solos.
For more of Tim's seismic basso profundo, listen to Brothers In Arms, Misty Mountains (his collaboration with Peter Hollens), Folsom Prison Blues, or Ring Of Fire (the Sing Off version).
For Chance's smooth baritone, check out Down to the Honky Tonk, Brothers In Arms, and Folsom Prison Blues. (Awesome.. basso profundo and a baritone/bass in the same group.) FYI, Chance is singing (throat singing) the jaw harp sounds - without the jaw harp - in Man Of Constant Sorrow.
For Rob's smooth soul, check out End of the Road, Blue Ain't Your Color, or Bless The Broken Road. (Blue-eyed soul is in good hands with The Beard.)
For Austin's soaring tenor, check out Crazy, Moonshine, When A Man Loves a Woman, or Bring Him Home. (But bolt down your chair ‘cause he'll sing you right out of it.)
For their humor, check out Butts Remix, Working For A Living, Between A Rock And A Heartache, Make You Feel My Love, Brother, and Champagne Taste on a Beer Budget.
For their amazing arrangement skills, check out Do You Hear What I Hear. (Adam's arrangement. Nothing else like it.)
For their tight harmonies, check out Helplessly Hoping, How Great Thou Art, Brothers In Arms, or Auld Lang Syne.
For their mashups, check out Thinking Out Loud/Let's Get It On, Fishing in the Dark/Boondocks, Country Fried Pop, or Woman, Amen/Female.
For more of their wonderful collaborations, check out God Bless the USA with Lee Greenwood, American Pie with Don McLean, Elvira with The Oak Ridge Boys, Children Go Where I Send Thee with the late Kenny Rogers, Don’t Laugh At Me with Mark Wills, Christmas In Dixie with Alabama, or Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For with Peter Hollens.
Get at least five videos under your belt and then listen to Mayday - the official video. After Mayday, you'll be ready for Tim and Austin doing My Maria or Tim's mashup of Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow/Stay.
Then, when you come up for air, check out Rob and Austin singing Nessun Dorma. You'll need smelling salts after that one.
Don't miss their official videos. The Home Free men will often do a straight, gorgeous vocal performance, but they'll add elements of humor to the video that will leave you chuckling or even laughing out loud. (Folsom Prison Blues, Between A Rock And A Heartache, Make You Feel My Love, Working For A Living, Brother).
Their synergy is phenomenal. Each is an artist in his own right, but man - when they sing together, magic happens. Wicked talent polished by decades of hard work. (Unchained Melody, Castle On The Hill, Seven Bridges Road) To paraphrase another Home Fry, “They don't just own a cover, they upgrade it.”
You are doomed, Home Fry. Bring ketchup.

Cowboy hat(Chris Rupp)was an original band member with brother Adam Rupp. Chris went to do solo work. His replacement was another Adam who goes by Chance to differentiate from the beat boxer.
