    Kiwi here. IT jobs are more scarce if anything. There's been huge cuts in governmental jobs so 1000s of people are looking for work which may make it harder for immigrants to find work. There's lots of support work roles though which may be worth looking into. Some of what this lady has said is really helpful. A lot of it you do not need to pay her to learn.

    • @Kiwiamericans
      @Kiwiamericans  2 месяца назад +4

      Yes but in 2025 there gonna be an influx of new opportunities in New Zealand for professional level IT jobs. And yes you don't need to pay my anything if it is unhelpful.

    Hi there…
    Given what just happened in the US (and the planet is stunned), I’m interested to hear if a return to NZ is on the cards.
    Or will you try to sit it out and hope his retributions and threats come to nothing?
    On the plus side, I’d imagine your business has had an immediate flood of queries.
    Best wishes from a Kiwi 🇳🇿

      What retribution and threats?

    • @rwags6848
      @rwags6848 2 месяца назад

      @ A simple search will highlight:
      “He has said that he will begin “mass deportations” of undocumented migrants as soon as his new term begins; that he will be a dictator for a day when he is sworn in, on January 20th; that he will pardon the thousands of January 6th “hostages” who stormed the U.S. Capitol, in 2021, on his behalf; and that he will go after his opponents, the political “enemy from within,” deploying the U.S. military to quell domestic disturbances and even suggesting that Mark Milley, the former chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, who dared to challenge him while wearing America’s uniform, was guilty of treason and deserving of execution. It is not inconceivable that Trump will move quickly to follow through on earlier threats to fire independent officials, including two of his own appointees whom he later turned on-the F.B.I. director Christopher Wray and Jay Powell, the chairman of the Federal Reserve. Even before his Inauguration, Trump’s victory will shake alliances and embolden autocrats around the world.”
      And of course there’s his remarks to Christian summit attendees that they would never need to vote again if he returns to the presidency in November.

      Mass deportations of those he decides shouldn’t be in the US! Note the adverse impact on low-cost (eg: fruit pickers) staff availability and produce.
      Prosecute and jail political opponents!
      Removing the licenses of news outlets that weren’t supportive!
      Firing government workers who were disloyal (Schedule F)!
      Invoking tariffs (that will increase the price of imported goods)!
      Ending the Ukraine war in 1 day (and tell me that that doesn’t mean Ukraine handing over some of their territory to Russia!)!

      And then there’s the pardon himself for all crimes!
      A truly sad period (since 2016) for the US!

    I am a mechanical engineer, 59, with most of my career spent working in advanced manufacturing (automation). I heard in an NPR report this summer that NZ is actively trying to recruit talent in this field from the US. Is this true? So far, the NZ govt sites I’ve checked plus LI don’t bear that out. My wife, 62, and I are considering a visit first with possible WWOOFing or other work vaca and camping and possibly options to immigrate. We’re thinking of coming in March / April. Thanks for your Video, Tara! I’ll start checking out sites and steps you recommend. I’ve also read it’s more difficult if over age 55??

    Hey! My husband and I have been working with WorkingIn Immigration since the beginning of this year. They're awesome. Very helpful. But we've put in countless applications with NZ formatted CVs and cover letters and added our support letters to every application and email sent to employers and recruiters and still got rejected 😕. Even from employers listed as accredited employers on INZ website. My husband's occupation is on the Green List but mine isn't last I checked. He works in construction and I'm in project coordination/management, and have a background in medical both administrative and clinical. We are hopeful that 2025 will be better for us finding work and we are planning to visit NZ and hopefully land a few in person interviews. I've heard from some individuals in the FB community that showing up in person may tip the scales in our favor. Is that our only other option? We've been ready for the big move all year and it's pretty discouraging being rejected in every direction we turn but we're pushing forward regardless because we really want this for our family. Any thoughts? Advice? Love your channel! ❤️ 😊

      @@VictoriaStrickland-en2uh great question and I've had other clients with the same issues. Unfortunately, New Zealand generally shuts down all of December and January so I think that that's what's in the mind of most employers right now that they're gonna pick up and start hiring in February. It is always good to be there in person, but I don't think it's necessary. I would hold out until February.

    Now that the U..S. has made its election choice some of those who didn't vote for Trump might be considering emigrating. Best advice: look elsewhere other than NZ Politically, it shifted to the right last year. Prices are now even more expensive, unemployment is rampant and crime is rising. And it is still small and backward. Even the creator of this website moved back to the U.S.A.

    I am interested into being a New Zealander or Kiwi. Actually, I was planning to move out of the USA in new years eve ever without my crazy abusive parents knowing. I want to live somewhere in paradise, I know NZ is expensive but USA isn't cheap either, stuff is also increasing and people are having mayhem and I had a meltdown yesterday and cried for 45 minutes. When a WWIII or Nuclear War comes, Oceania would be the only Continent that would survive. Earthquakes are nothing I lived in California for 9 years and those Earthquakes are worse than NZ. Yeah, I know it is a struggle but If i live in this Monarch Nation, At least I will learn to be Loyal and excellent. I want a immigrate towards NZ. I have tried and looked in Canada and the Economic situation is just as bad as down here in the USA. At least when the MAGAs leave NZ would be a lot more affordable by then. I would rather hang out with sheep in NZ then unconventional people who will harm me next to my abusive parents.
