Fun fact! A well-timed Thundaga (or any hit in general but I find that Thundaga is safest) can knock Vanitas out of his desperation move (and yes, this works on both the triple-blizzard one AND the really long one). The timing is stupid and you obviously need MP to pull it off reliably, but it has helped me make this fight so much faster, because if you knock him out of the big one, I’m like 70% sure he skips it for the rest of the fight
I discovered this opening on accident by doing one or two attacks too many while in Final Form and I activated teleport and whacked him, absolute game changer lol. I usually stop it with Airstep now, though Thundaga sounds smart.
Super late to the party but I think Sora is immune to status effects in all of his forms. Everytime I was in ultimate form or dark form against Saix I never got stunned
You can skip both of his DMs (Desperation Moves). Right before he gets on the Keyblades you can use Thunder to stun him to get some hits again, he might try to do the DM again so make sure you’re ready for it
Pedro'sGamingCorner Please do one on Terra-Xehenort because he does a random move where jumps and dashed towards you and he doesn’t just dash he actually swings his key blade like immediately afterwards and it’s unblock-able
Vanitas kicks my ass in every game that he’s in, this one is no different. I beat them all on standard and went straight to Critical. Vanitas, Xemnas, and Xehanort took me longest to beat of any of them (excluding Yozora)
Finally beat him thank you. Something I noticed is that with ultima weapon form change I was able to cancel that really long, annoying desperation move with all of the shadow clones and beams shooting at you.
Honestly I was completely in the dark about these damn battles, literally started on critical...bad choice for an inexperienced data fighter. Young Nort was my first victory and I thank you for the help! Vanni is next up

1:53 Aim the air step when he is about to shoot the third fireball and mash to break his combo. It's always on that left spot as said in the video and the timing is usually really generous. Same thing works on his DM when he starts to call his keyblades. Just keep an eye on his health bar to time that.
Thank you 😩 this is my very first time fighting superboss in all KH games and i’ve only played proud mode so far too. Got my butt kicked in a second 🤣 usually watching no-damage gameplay is enough for me but data fights are too chaotic to know what happened in no-damage gameplays 😂
This helped me through 75% of the fight, but the hardest part you barely say a word about. I can’t get a hit it. I cheesed him DM with thundaga and I shotlock him to create a short break. Hopefully you can be more specific how to recover from mistakes and how to do the final phase
You are so awesome Pedro but you didn’t really talk too much about the moves he does when he only has 2 bars of health left and I had to go elsewhere to find out how to handle that part >_< but thanks for the help.
These guides make this game look easy but for a matter of fact this sh*t is all some hard work. Kingdom hearts games are not easy to overcome & I only beat Vanitas recently due to desperation during the end of the fight 🤣👏🏾 (Data Version). Being level 99 with the ultima weapon don’t mean sh*t if you ain’t got the skills , reflexes & techniques to back up your gameplay which I’m severely lacking these days when I play this game. #NiceOne✅
DID IT!!!! My god I killed the asshole, shit, I did It! Hahahaha. Ok, my advices an average player: -Get level freaking 95 at least. Otherwise you deal no damage to the kid, or very poor. -Inject power UPS to Sora even on his eyeballs. I think I did 5 or so pre lvl92 and still took me a full combo and a half to get one bar with Obvlivion fully maxed. -Dont bother with the "PERISHH!!" move. Just memorize the patern on this video, get a kupo koin and if you get hit, memorize better. Its very hard to react, its bullshit(at least for me). -Post bullshit move, wait for the three consecutive "guillotine" attacks and punish there. Good luck❤

If you thundaga at the right moment as he’s hopping on his keyblades you can skip that whole part
after watching your video for 47 seconds I just tabbed right back on my window to fighting vanitas and beat him, thanks.👍👍

Little tips: when vanitas stay in the air and calls all the keyblade there is one one or two second you can attack him and intterupts is animation

You know that you can stop him doing his d.m because while he summons the keyblades you can airstep to him and then you can attack him.
Yeah that was discovered a few days after I made this guide but is more effective with thunder. You can stop both actually
