I can really listen to you play the same songs over and over and never get tired of them because you always improvise, making it fresh and interesting like hearing it for the first time. Sound quality and camera-work in your studio is also superb and better than at your shows I streamed at MZES etc. Thank you for all your hard work that goes for our enjoyment.

Wow, an utterly breathtaking performance from my favourite jazz pianist. Riyoko's harmonic choices are always surprising and her technique is just dazzling. Why she is largely unknown outside of Japan, I find bewildering because she's one of the world's best pianists. Many thanks Riyoko.
She didn't start gigging again until three years ago and has improved a lot since then. I think she was teaching school, maybe still is. Before that she was trying to make it in pop music (awful!). Now she has been on Japanese TV so is heading up. It takes a long time.

She will likely be coming with other world-class musicians in her rhythm section like Hiroyuki Noritake (drums) from legendary jazz-fusion group T-SQUARE and Yosuke Inoue (bass) from Spirit of Chick Corea band, both of who peformed in NYC in the past. If we can help Riyoko fill a theater size venue, it will be huge for her NYC/US debut.
If the genetic engineers are looking for a few model women to clone, might i humbly suggest they start by stealing some toenail clippings from Ms. Takagi, who combines beauty and talent😛. So smooth. I have listened to Coltrane's improvisation on My Favorite Things hundreds of times. She's not at his mystical level yet, but she's clearly smart enough to get there, hopefully without the heroin addiction and liver cancer. Tragic that Coltrane only lived to 40, and worked on 100 albums.
Well done! I actually prefer your playing to Hiromi’s (another of my favorites), your’s being more melodical/lyrical, although I would surely love to se a duet with Hiromi sometime :)
