Thanks for this tutorial ❤ am in awe of your knowledge of music 🎶❤ for a long time my untrained ears made me conclude that this song is set in Raag Malgunji, mostly because it reminded me so much of Shreya Ghoshal's Mere Dholna Sun from Bhool Bhulaiyaa 😅 thank you again for your detailed explanation ❤ I listened to Piya Bawri again after watching your tutorial and I now find that it sounds closer to Beeti Na Bitai Raina from Parichay by Lata Mangeshkar and Bhupinder Singh, coincidentally another RD Burman composition

Im not an expert but the original song is in adha taal (16 beats) which is teen taal ki cousin. its not keharva
