Q1submandibular lymph nodes he should check both sides as there is a communication between the two sides of tongue / while the enlargement occur in these nodes is due to proliferation of the lymphocytes with its different type Q2 right parotid LN Q3 the inflammatory enlargement is usually associated with an infected part near it like tonsillitis and go down with treatment but the malignant enlargement is usually associated with no symptoms and it become very hard due to cancer cells in it and cause night sweating and fever , the node also become bigger and immovable Q4 . Infectious mononucleosis results in widespread adenopathy. Roseola infantum (caused by human herpes virus 6), cytomegalovirus (CMV), varicella, and adenovirus all cause generalized lymphadenopathy. Q5 This disrupts the flow of lymph, which can lead to swelling. This is lymphedema.
during mastectomy nearby lymph nodes removed, this disrupt flow of lymph lead to swelling either both arm or one side of arm , head and neck , leg , genital organs. Thanks Dr. Ayman
Q3/Benign means the lymph nodes don’t contain cancer cells. Malignant means they do contain cancer cells. Q4/The most common cause of swollen lymph nodes is an upper respiratory infection
swollen lymph nodes detect your immune system fighting against infections swollen lymph nodes usually likely to be benign than malignant or doesn't contain cancer cell , but malignant swollen lymph contain cancer cell and spread.

Measles. Ear infections. Infected (abscessed) tooth. Mononucleosis. Skin or wound infections, such as cellulitis. Human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) - the virus that causes AIDS Q5 the edema occurs because the lymphatic vessels and nodes are responsible for collection the excess fluid and the interstitial fluid and return it to the bloodstream ,,and with the clearence of lymph node,that will reduce the fliud return to the blood and accumulate in the intercellular space causing edema
